    Very disappointed with the food. It’s been 5 years since we’ve dined here. Past experience was always good, but this time the food was lacking. We had sea bass and crab cakes. Crab cake were dry. Sea bass bland. It wasn’t very busy. Jose’s service was good.

    Had a wonderful, non traditional Thanksgiving dinner, foregoing Turkey for fresh shucked oysters, a Mediterranean bronzino and a wonderful monk fish atop squid ink pasta. Great service and food.

    We go to the Oceanaire every Thanksgiving as they have the traditional Thanksgiving dinner and also alternative menus for those that don’t want turkey. Food is always wonderful. Service is outstanding. Well worth the money.

    Cory was a fun waiter. Staff is professional and friendly. Background music was perfect. Food is always fresh and prepared perfect. First time we have had sushi rolls at Oceanaire; it did not disappoint; some of the best tasting I have had. The pan seared tuna was perfect. My partner had the chicken fried lobster... I also had a bite. It was delicious.

    We celebrated our anniversary on a Monday night. Being early eaters, our 5 p.m. reservation allowed us to enjoy ourselves as the only diners until we were almost ready to leave. The food was good. They are oyster heavy but I would have enjoyed more fish choices. We found the food delicious and the portions huge. I always expect that level restaurant to have mellow music. That was not the case here. I guess we are just oldsters who have different expectations. The complimentary anniversary dessert was a treat. Our server was attentive and took care of our every need.

    The Oceanaire is the best seafood restaurant in Indianapolis for special occasions, fine dining, or a quick bite at the bar. I’ve been going for over ten years and the quality and freshness of the food can’t be beat. They fly fresh seafood in daily and always have something new or different on the menu. The staff is friendly and never rushes your meal. If you love oysters, be sure to visit the bar on Sunday for their $2 special.
