   Service was amateur and food lacking for a restaurant in this range. They claim to be upscale dining but it’s terribly mismanaged and it comes through in every aspect of the experience. Drinks eventually made their way to our table, poorly mixed. We were told to mix our Manhattan at the Table “That’s how it’s supposed to be”. Sadly the food is no saving grace- below average at best. Lobster and steaks ($80 each entree) came out cold. Lobster is not as described and I doubt it’s from Maine. The lobster tail was under cooked and over seasoned with this terrible herb butter, which was overwhelming and not sweet like a main lobster tail should be. It tasted like a mouthful of cheap oregano and rosemary. Duck special was chewy and skin soggy. A salad course was missed entirely (and charged on bill). I kid you not- the bus girl was the only one to come over and apologize. She did this while pouring tap water into my glass of sparkling. The service was so bad it was entertaining. Kind of like dinner and a comedy show. When we asked server for a recommendation on the special duck or the classic pork he proceeded to read us the entire menu- starting with apps. We were told about what the (young) server likes eating as he went down the list line by line. For desert, the tuxedo moose was described as “a white and black moose” which the server prefers because he does not personally like almonds. It was pure gold we couldn’t help but to chuckle through it. When this happens (rarely this bad)— we make the best of the worst, tip well and never return.

   Beautiful restaurant on a chilly spring evening. Incredibly loud to the point convo was challenging. Probably better when doors open and outside.

   Joe our server was good. But, overall food was not. My wife had a dry piece of fish, which she said also tasted fishy. The entertainment was annoying. She was a violinist whose music they sent out on to the restaurant speakers, at a sound level way too high. We could barely hear each other.

   This restaurant has been completely remodeled since Covid - lovely, modern, spacious and full of light. Great service, great food, and great ambiance.

   It took 90 minutes from appetizer to main course. When the food did come it was super salty, and frankly mediocre. A $90 steak should be perfect and the accompanying lobster tail should be hot.

   We had a great meal and night! Overlooking the rapidly flowing Delaware River, we were given a great seat on the warm enclosed deck. The meal was expertly paced by our server Anthony- who gave us great recommendations among the way. The fig&ricotta salad was delicious , as were the filet tips and Beal parm. Without room for dessert, a Bailey’s finished the night. We love River House at Odettes and are already looking forward to breakfast !

    Horribly rude waitstaff. Server was unaccommodating, had a sarcastic answer for simple questions regarding menu, acted like we were a nuisance just bc we were dining there. Ignored the table and took forever to do anything, at 330pm, it was empty in there. She ruined the lunch experience. It was disgraceful. We will never go back there. Place is new and well designed. Food was average, nothing special. They have no clue how to train staff or they condone this type of attitude. We have travelled and dined the world over and this was one of the worst places we’ve ever experienced. To top it off I had the Caesar salad as one of the sides and now I am sick. Beware!! Go to Boro Mkt or Stockton Inn instead.
