Classic Gotham Steakhouse located in the ultra chic Meat Packing District, established in 1868. The restaurant maintains it's strong relationships with their butchers, allowing them to get their first pick of beef. Nothing but prime dry aged meat - always has been and always will be. Winner of the 2006 Wine Spectator Award. Lobsters ranging in sizes from 4 - 13 lbs., sushi grade tuna, sockeye salmon, Colossal crab meat and shrimp so big they are referred to as small bananas.

    Everything was delicious. We started with clans oreganata which were awesome. I had the bacon wrapped filet, one of the best I ever had and my wife the prime rib which was equally delicious. We shared the creamed spinach. That was hands down the best creamed spinach we've ever had, filled with cheese and truffle flavor. The best. We split the cheesecake for dessert which was pretty good as well. I highly recommend visiting. We saw many tables get the porterhouse for two which we had planned on getting until my wife decided that she wanted prime rib. So maybe next time but that looked delicious!

    I ordered the bread which was nothing special. The crab cakes which I enjoyed 7.8/10. And the filet wrapped in bacon with onion rings. The bordelaise sauce was not that great so I tried to not get my steak in the sauce which was difficult on my tiny plate. Onion rings were delicious, though. I’ve been to the Old Homestead in Vegas and it blows this one out of the water. Would I return? Probably not given the other better choices in NYC.

    Wonderful night with the my children. Service was excellent, perhaps only surpassed by the food. Really wonderful night.

    Hi Wenrt there 12/292024 had reservations 2 other people in place waited an hour or so for dinner I had prime rib lousy cut of meat (better @ Texas roadhouse friend had bacon rapped filet over cooked lamb chops ok skirt steak small but ok rib eye was ok and cooked right sides were small food was not hot no manager to be seen tomanysteak houses in NYC pass on this place not worth the $$$$ Dave

    It was ok… not worth a $500 tab. The server didn’t explain anything.. he just came up and wanted to take our order.. I would probably not go back… my lobster tail was so over cooked it was hard and chewy. The steak was ok nothing exceptional.

    Dinner was outstanding! The food and service was incredible. George was our server and we couldn’t have asked for anyone better. Highly recommend the restaurant and George.

    Food was absolutely amazing. It did take quite long to get our food. A couple came in after us and was given there food before us so that was pretty frustrating. The lack of attention was shocking seeing as how nice the restaurant was! Other than that it was amazing.
