   Our server was very nice and the service was average. From the time that we sat down at our table, it took 21 minutes to get our first drink. The food was good, but not great.The Pork Lumpia was a very good appetizer, it was hot and crispy and the highlight of our meal. My wife and I both ordered the same entree, Scallop Risotto. It was just ok. Scallops were slightly overcooked and the dish was lukewarm, at best, when it arrived at the table. All in all, very average. Won’t go out of our way to go back. There are much better restaurants at the same price point within walking distance of this place.

   The quality of food was great but a tad bit pricey. Hopefully one day the menu will expand to include more options. Service was sub par and a little slow but overall a good experience .

   I am not sure how long Old Palafox has been open but they were overwhelmed on Valentines evening. We had reservations for 4 at 630 and were promptly seated but that was all that went right for us. While we did get acknowledged it took around 20 minutes for someone to finally get around to get our initial drinks ordered and while we did that we ordered two appetizers-a dozen Chargrilled Oysters and order of hushpuppies. (One soft drink did show up within a few minutes but there were three ordered from the bar). Fifteen more minutes went by and the table next to us was delivered an app order duplicate of ours. No wait...that was our order they sat down on their table. Then realized error and removed and put on our table....not good. the hushpuppies looked good from the outside but the batter was still runny on the inside. Still no bar drinks. The oysters. Chargrilled...nope. They had the parmesan, the garlic and bread crumbs but were not in the oven long enough to even get hot. ..so basically raw with stuff on them. Still no bar drinks. We are now 45 minutes into sitting down and we had two bad experiences and still no bar drinks. We waved someone down and asked for our check. After five minutes a front of house manager came by and waived our purchases and we left. Menu was very basic and not a well mixed offer for group dining. Very doubtful we will return.

   Worst service we have experienced in a very long time. The drinks alone took 22 minutes! The waiter was a very poor listener that really needs to have a notebook and write things down, because he clearly has a hard time remembering things! The lumpia was outstanding, and the only good thing about our experience. The bartender was overwhelmed, and clearly understaffed. The back restaurant door was left propped open and made the restaurant freezing cold, so much so I needed to wear a winter coat inside! The Arancini was terrible. A yucky clump of fried sticky rice with no taste, instead of being a delicious risotto over Italian sausage or other protein inside, rolled in Panko and deep fried. The smash burger would have been good, if not so greasy! We won’t be back. Too expensive for terrible service and sub par food!

   The restaurant is beautiful . The food was good. The service was excellent. We sat in the back so the music was a little loud, but still great music was played. Next time we will sit in the front space.

   The service was warm friendly and prompt. The fish was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. The smash burger was good, although not crispy as a smash burger should be, it had double patties and a delicious sauce. The prices were high which will keep us from coming back as soon as we would like.

   Ambiance was good but they seems to group all of the diners in the same small area when the restaurant obviously had more areas. The servers were combined with making drinks as well as greeting incoming diners,etc, which impacted any quality oversight of the diners. We had to get their attention to either get more drinks and to get our bill after being complete with our meal. You need more staff

   Excellent customer service and awesome food We had the red snapper and the filet. Both were excellent, cooked perfectly and had great flavor. The steak easily cut with a butter knife. Highly recommend and will definitely return.

    Restaurant was beautifully decorated. However, the decor does nothing when the food is awful. A party of 6 and we were all very unhappy with the dinner, presentation and the fact they're not ready for business. They told us they'd not chosen a name nor did they have a table ready for us though we had a reservation. Very unprofessional and rude.
