OLIO E PIÙ brings Italian tradition and true sense of Mediterranean liveliness to the vibrant neighborhood in Chicago.

As an authentic trattoria, its cuisine is based on classic Italian dishes. As you dine at OLIO E PIÙ, you’ll be transported not just by the flavors of Italy but also by the authentic atmosphere that surrounds you. It’s a place where time slows down, and conversations flow freely, just as they do in a true Italian household. Here, the spirit of 1970s Italian elegance lives on, and every meal is a celebration of life, love, and the joy of shared moments, especially with the open kitchen concept.

OLIO E PIÙ is more than just a restaurant; it’s a portal to a different time and place, where the essence of Italy’s rich culinary and cultural heritage is captured in every detail.

I always have an amazing time at Olio! The manager there - Jason - takes great care of us always and the service is amazing. We got a bunch of stuff, but the highlights are the carbonara pasta, the house-made limoncello, and the pear dessert. Will definitely be coming back!

Vibes were great. A beautiful restaurant with high energy on a Friday night. The food was terrible. We had hamachi which tasted paste ifs prime, pasta that was very undercooked and lackluster, Brussels that’s were somehow over and undercooked and the worst olive oil cake I’ve ever tasted. We did have the beet salad which was exceptional and we took advantage of the half price wine by the bottle special. Waiter was good. We still had a great night but I could only recommend this spot for the half price bottles of wine because the quality of the food was under-par and over priced.

Went for restaurant week with a girlfriend. We cannot express enough how much how we enjoyed the service(our waitress was very attentive)and the kindness of all the staff(the manager stopped by our table to welcome us). The food…the CREMA DI PORRI E PATATE (leek soup)😋, AGNOLOTTI DI RICOTTA E SPINACI, etc …we shared and loved every morsel of everything on the menu we ate. Definitely have to go back for dessert. The wine deal👍🏽. You much check it out!

We were there to celebrate my husband’s birthday, the hostess was rude and distracted, our 6 yo daughter asked her if they had something to color (they do)… hostess replied “excuse me” as to imply she was interupting her, we weren’t sure whether they did or not, but she eventually brought them to the table… No eye contact us set them on the table and walked off. The half off Wine list seemed like a good bargain, they were out of stock on the first two things we asked for we finally just ordered a glass of wine. Our salads came after the entrées and only after asking for them. Food was mediocre… The ambience gave an historic feel and lovely.

An awful experience. Put aside that they (as so many other places they fall from grace and serve brunch instead of lunch), I ordered the spaghetti aglio e olio and it was served absoluted unsalted (no salt in the cooking water). I returned it and it wasn’t checked by the line chef (everything visible from my seat with the open kitchen). Instead I was given a new portion which was clearly over salted as the line chef probably didn’t have the imagination to believe that he/her had forgotten to salt the water in the cooling water. In addition the cook had added pistachios to the dish. It’s well known that American chefs (more is better) do not know how to handle the Italian cuisine where the the focus is on simple ingredients of the best quality. But this was a new low. Avoid.

Very bad experience, the service was poor and rude. The food was bad and overpriced. I never review, so believe me when I say it was bad.
