   Food is absolutely lackluster! There are way more better restaurants in Chicago at the same price point

   Party of two. Food was very good, but service was lacking. After being seated by the hostess, we waited ten to fifteen minutes before finally flagging down a waiter. We ordered a bottle of wine and an appetizer. The appetizer arrived before the wine did. We each ordered a pasta for our mains. They attempted to deliver one of the pastas and a fish dish. When we informed them that we didn't order the fish, they wanted to leave the first pasta to get cold while they got the second one prepared. Fortunately, it appeared to be just a mix up as the second pasta suddenly showed up. We enjoyed the food. We decided to skip dessert and asked for the check. It took another ten to fifteen minutes to get the check. The restaurant was active, but not close to capacity. We would have shrugged off one service mishap, but three or four seemed a bit much. Too bad since the food was very good.

   Don't sit by the windows. There is a fire station across the street that makes for a very loud and unpleasant evening listening to sirens throughout your dinner.

   Once again perfect experience, thank you Chad (manager) for everything. Our server Yehor was also on the spot with explanations and recommendations with food and drinks.

   Food was outstanding, no denying that. However we made the reservation well ahead of our trip to Chicago and requested a special table and let them know we were celebrating our anniversary, but no accommodations were made. Anniversary wasn’t even acknowledged. The waitress did not even introduce herself to us. She took our drink order and came back and said “are you ready to order”, we replied “oh are you our waitress?” And she said “yes, ready to order?”. It was disappointing and she was not personable at all. We had an app and shared a small pasta and left. Trying again somewhere else, because that was not how we’d like to say we spent our anniversary. Bummer, because the pasta was amazing.

   This is the kind of Italian restaurant that does not stand out from the crowd. OK food in OK surroundings. We had chicken escalope in panini and a avocado toast. The chicken was dry, the fries soggy, the garnish snd the toast was good. They had a wine list with 50 percent off bargains “except dinner Friday and Saturday”. Brunch is dinner, we were told, so the wine was full price. Service was adequate as was the atmosphere, but a memorable meal it was not. We visited during a very raunchy St Patrick celebration in Chicago, which might have increased the noise level in the place a couple of extra notches.
