   We had a wonderful meal including the antipasto meatballs, Waygu bolognese and lobster cacio e Pepe with the tiramisu for dessert. Great portions sizes, flavorful and came out quickly. Service was excellent and the hostess was welcoming, engaging and hard working!

   Eight of us came for dinner, and while the food was generally okay, it left a lot to be desired and didn’t stand out with anything particularly special, given the expectation they set and prices. I did not appreciate that the Caprese “heirloom” tomatoes salad came with grape tomatoes and some of the tomatoes were clearly spoiled. I get it that it’s difficult to get tomatoes to Maui but details should matter in a quality restaurant! Similarly my main course pasta was quite watery, either the sauce was not simmered enough or they just didn’t drain the pasta. Shame when it was clearly homemade and had good flavor but again details were missing. Our server was quite professional and polite, however the worst part of the experience was one of the food runners from the kitchen - the gentleman clearly has attitude issues, he showed with all 3 courses that he doesn’t care who ordered what and would just shove plates wherever he pleased, ignoring us while we were trying to communicate with him what dish goes where. He was angry, bitter and rude and has no business in a restaurant like this. It definitely seemed like more than someone having a bad day.
