General Omakase Course. From the cute entry where you have to push a door bell it was an experience like no other on the GC. I was transported back to Tokyo - where I lived for 10 years. The server Mayu was kind and engaging and really a wonderful host as were all the other staff, they gave a genuine warmth and made you feel so special. The Yoyogi Black Beer was smooth and lovely a perfect match with the delectable yakitori that was cooked with art and refinement. Our course started with a clear chicken broth, so cleansing with the smokey charcoal flavour, Each course was delivered in an unhurried yet timely manner, where you could enjoy the experience of dining and conversation. The volume of the food is less than most are accustomed to in Australia but we were so full by the end, and our taste buds were in heaven. It is not about wolfing down a huge meal but enjoying the flavours as they hit you and satisfy you. The sashimi was of the highest quality, the tempura so delicate, the chicken amazing and the salad fresh. The wagyu sandwich was to die for! Thank you for a lovely Valentines Day, definitely an occasion restaurant. Dress to impress, put your phones away (apart from for snapping a few foodie pics) and enjoy each other, and the experience. We loved it!!

If you are looking for an intimate, authentic Japanese dining experience- this is it! The chicken was outstanding, the tempura prawns are a must. You pay for quality and outstanding service, and that’s what you get. A wonderful addition to the Northern end of the Gold Coast dining scene.

Was not impressed with the cocktails. The martini’s were very small. The design and look was amazing however not enough liquid in the drinks. The espresso martini looked amazing however extremely different to any I have had before. It almost tasted like a long black. Overall night was amazing though

Very authentic Japanese vibe! The yakitori flavours are on another level! Will definitely come back. Selection of wine and sake drinks are very reasonable as well! Sitting is on a minimum scale so it feels more like a personalised service than anything! Highly recommended

Overall the food was outstanding, the service is great, but unfortunately the waitress speaks poor English, it’s a shame she doesn’t not understand wine pairing. I spent too long explaining then gave up, otherwise I would definitely order more drinks… I also thought the lighting was too bright , would be great if its dimmed down a bit. Still a great experience, hopefully next I go, it’s improved :)

A truly amazing dining experience. The food was fantastic, every dish was cooked perfectly. The yakitori were the best I’ve ever eaten- so tender and flavourful. Sitting at the counter and watching the chef was so interesting. The wait staff were so friendly and gracious, and were very helpful with drink recommendations. I cannot wait to return and enjoy this wonderful restaurant again.
