   We enjoyed our lunch today! We shared the burger (best on Nantucket) and the new on the menu Beet Salad... Cocktails were wonderful... especially the Kelly Kowaski (?) and Bloody Mary!

   The food and atmosphere and service at O’er the Whale are all astoundingly good.it isn’t often that you can say this about a restauant, but it is true here. The Duck dish to share was the best meal I have had in a long time, and all of the shared appetizers to start were delicious as well! I can’t wait to return and try more items on the menu! I highly recommendO’er the Whale for dining on Nantucket!

   Very loud group at the bar which made it hard to enjoy our dinner. Service was excellent. The steak was thin and unremarkable for the price.

   Host and bar were very accommodating as we arrived early for our reservation and were able to enjoy drinks out on the beautiful patio before heading inside for our reservation .

   A beautiful day on the island, perfect for an Al fresco lunch. Short , but varied innovative menu. Service was first rate and it will remain one of our favorites

   Excellent food. However, zero flexibility on dishes - couldn’t remove meat from a dish for a vegetarian, couldn’t serve a side for a person with allergies, and so on. Service friendly but not helpful. Pretty disappointing at the elevated price level.

   We shared the prefix dinner and it was plenty of food for the two of us to share. The chocolate dessert was so good I ordered an extra one!

   We had a great evening. About half way through our dinner a table of about ten 30-40 year old women sat next to us. They were having fun. As were we! Four sisters celebrating the oldest’s 60th birthday Great vibe all around. Then a much older woman came over to our table and asked us to quiet down. Us, not them? Quiet on a Friday night? So rude. So weird. Anyway, the host told me they had asked for a quiet table and she told them that wasn’t really a thing on a Friday night. She was lovely and apologetic. No staff member at fault here! But it did put a small damper on our evening!

    Our experience was mixed. The food was very good. I especially enjoyed the street corn ribs, and the steak frites was also very good. My husband enjoyed the Fall salad and the rice cakes and vegetables entree. Maybe it was the bartender's night off but the cocktails were truly terrible. I actually sent back my cosmopolitan, which tasted like extremely tart water, and the replacement drink also tasted like water, though not so tart. My husband did not enjoy his drink either.
