   Wonderful food - each course was very special. As a whole, courses lacked synergy with one another. Some plates seemed to have excess and unnecessary ingredients. Service was hit or miss, overall pretty good.

   The evening was marred by an unfortunate soul stepping in and begging for food by standing in the middle of the restaurant and refusing to leave. The entire restaurant shut down for 15 minutes while he refused to leave, and there was no security or police available. One diner asked for his check and left without finishing his meal. We felt very badly for this individual and the celebratory night was ruined for us. The restaurant staff didn’t comment after the man left. Hard to put into words. We all felt terrible. The situation in LA is not getting better. :(

   The restaurant is not ver easy to find, even thoug the entrance is straight from the street, so don’t expect your Uber driver to let you out correctly. The inside is quite simple with only few tables, so it’s rather quiet and you can enjoy your food that is of course one of it’s kind. There is wine pairing option with selection of organic wines. Probably the best food option in downtown LA, although be prepared to spend almost $700 for dinner for 2 w wine ant tip.

   My wife and I have invested in food “experiences” in elegant designer spaces with a dozen wait staff and gas bags of aroma. In a cellar in Burgundy with a half dozen wines curated to each course delivered over 4 hours. This intimate 4th street Michelin stared restaurant, which is pescatarian, is a prixe fixe small street level promises fine dining with Japanese and Italian influences. Josef Centeno bases your menu on his daily availability of fish and inspiration. The sommelier, Roman, was our guild through each course and paired an outstanding mineral forward Burgandy white wine. Each course was complex and delicious. Highly recommend this dining experience which is modest on theatrics and high on quality and innovation!

   Finally a Michelin restaurant worth the stars! Weeks later and I’m still in awe of the dinner we had, especially the pasta with lobster. One of the best meals I’ve had in years.

    The quality of food is fine but I don’t think it can be one star level especially the SELECTION of beverage and the service
