The crown jewel of the hotel, our rooftop restaurant Overlea (meaning, “over the meadows”), is a stunning open concept space with horseshoe bar, floor to ceiling windows, and breathtaking views of historic Newmarket. The menu is a celebration of seasonal simplicity created by Chef Jon Turner. With terraces on each side complete with greenery, lounge furniture and fire tables, Overlea is the perfect place for a quiet escape into an evening of the unknown. It has the vibe and elegance of top downtown restaurant. Such a beautiful setting for any occasion. Perfect portion size even for big eaters!

Another amazing dining experience at the Overlea restaurant. We enjoyed the beet salad and oysters to start. Delicious! We each ordered a different main including cornish hen, lamb, steak and duck. We all loved our entrees and enjoyed sharing each others. The hen and mashed potatoes were a favourite. The service was fantastic! Our server was very attentive but also relaxed and conversational. We can't wait to come back for our next celebration!

We enjoyed our dinner very much at the overlea. The only thing i suggest is to have french fries on your menu. Being told they are only available in the lobby bar was extremely disappointing. The waiter said sometimes when children are there they will go downstairs and get them. Everyone likes french fries. Please put them on both menus. Such a small thing could make a big difference

I can't get enough of this place! The food is exceptional (flavors, presentation), the service is amazing and the atmosphere leaves me feeling transported - a city experience in a small town, my little escape! Everything is beautiful, such amazing quality and attention to detail. A wonderful experience every time.

Table we were seated at against the window was like a runway for kitchen staff constantly walking by. Very noisy dining room. We were the first ones in the restaurant and it was loud- can’t imagine what it would be like full. Bar tender had a cough that echoed throughput the restaurant-why was she working sick? Wait staff good but far too attentive and lacking menu knowledge. Food was okay but didn’t live up to price tag.

Place was packed when we arrived. Sat at the bar for a bit until our table was ready. Drinks were creative and good. Fresh foccacia was brought to our table with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, Delicious. We had venison carpaccio & seafood plate for appies. Both were very tasty. We ordered the duck, Cornish hen, lamb the daily special - pork chop. Everyone loved their meals. The lemon meringue was not a pie, but served in a ramekin. Tart and so good! Our server was attentive and pleasant. Newmarket has a new gem. The outdoor patio will be packed on warmer days. Can’t wait to go back again.

A lovely new hot spot in Newmarket. Upscale menu. Feels like downtown TO vibes. Good energy and servers, albeit a little green. I am hopeful it will get there. Food was very good but HEAVY on the salt. Loved the onion rings and buttermilk Cornish hen and Brussels sprouts. Lillian was a delightful server❤️
