A daytime affair, The Restaurant serves weekday breakfast and lunch, weekend brunch, and afternoon tea, where guests may be seated in an art-filled dining room with an open kitchen or the sunlit Conservatory, complete with creeping vines and a retractable glass roof.     Anna, the 7th Duchess of Bedford, introduced afternoon Tea in England in year 1840. Lunch had become a “skimpier” meal, so of course, the Duchess would become very hungry around 4 o’clock in the afternoon, far from when dinner was served around 8 o’ clock in the evening. The Duchess found taking an afternoon snack to be such perfect refreshment that she soon began inviting her friends to join her. She found a light meal of tea (usually Darjeeling) and cakes or sandwiches was the perfect balance. There are no rules to the spread of food, but the standard for Afternoon Tea comprises a layer of sandwiches, a layer of cakes and a layer of scones or tea cakes.

    First time I’ve ever been to Oxford Exchange and it didn’t disappoint! Enjoyed a coffee while perusing the bookstore & shop before our reservation. Tried the deviled eggs, cinnamon roll & omelette and it was all delicious!

    Such a great place. Would recommend going early as it gets busy pretty quickly. Loved my waitress she was so polite and attentive. The food was alright but nothing to write home about, definitely recommend for the experience. Also parking can be tight so Uber or Lyft is your friend.

    I shared afternoon tea with my mom and it was exactly what we were looking for! We shared two pots of chai tea which was absolutely delicious. Have never had such silky tea. The blueberry scone with clotted cream was my standout food item - usually scones are too dry for my taste but this one was moist and just perfect. Our server Molly was attentive and a real joy to interact with. Will definitely return next time I am in Tampa.

    Food was unique and delicious. Chose to eat in atrium. It was a little loud but a nice atmosphere. History of building & book store was a bonus. Looking forward to returning.

    My husband and I tried this restaurant for the first time and were happily surprised. The atmosphere is fantastic and unique. It's a little loud in the dining area, but not enough that you can't talk to the person directly across from you. The food was amazing, as well as their tea collection. The staff are fantastic and treat you very well. The manager was terrific regarding a mistake over my meal. Overall, a must-see. We will be returning soon.
