   Great place. The asthetic and ambience is so alluring. Food is delicious, coming from an extremely well curated menu. They made my girlfriend and I’s anniversary feel very special! And Miguel was the best server I’ve had in a long time, shout out to that man. Hope to be back soon for the blue fin tuna tasting!

   The inside of the restaurant didn’t smell great, which should have been a big warning sign in a sushi restaurant. We opted to sit outside, which was quiet though not scenic looking at the parking lot. The food quality was mixed. The conch salad was great and visually appealing. The nigiri and sushi was pretty mid. I’ve had as good in a grocery store. The special maki weren’t any better. Consider adding some standards like a California roll that appeals to kids.

   I took my boyfriend to Oza Izakaya for his birthday and noted the occasion in our reservation. Upon arrival, we had to wait about 10 minutes for our table—not a big deal. However, when we were seated, we were placed at a table for four near the walkway. The table was dark, and we didn’t have a lamp until the neighboring table handed one over, saying their waiter gave it to them for pictures. It was frustrating that our table wasn’t properly set before we sat down. We were also given two “pitchers” of water as if the place setting was for a table of 4. I also noticed that a nearby table had a “Happy Birthday” reserved sign—something we didn’t receive, despite mentioning the occasion in advance. We saw an open table by the sushi bar and asked to be moved, but we were told it was reserved and specifically requested. That would have been understandable, except no one sat there for the entire time we dined. Service was another weak spot. While our waiter was friendly, it took 20 minutes just to place our drink order. At one point, the wrong dish was brought to our table. We didn’t touch it, and eventually, another staff member came to retrieve it, but I would be pretty upset if my order was mistakenly delivered to another table. I also reminded our waiter that we were celebrating a birthday, yet nothing special was done. Meanwhile, the table next to us received a song and dessert. Maybe it was an oversight, but when you’re spending $150 on a meal, those small details matter. That said, the food was delicious (edamame, wagyu gyoza, key lime roll, and scallops were amazing), and the drinks were beautifully presented, though just okay in taste. Despite these mishaps, we would dine here again—but perhaps sit at the bar to get more attentive service.

   Asked for recommendations, didn’t receive any. Waited for almost 45 mins for our roll to be told they have it to someone else….left and ate elsewhere.

   Great experience here as we sat on the patio with our dogs. Decor was so cute. The host and server we had were amazing. Food and drinks were also really good.
