Our first time at Pacifica. Had a reservation, but still had to wait almost 30mins for our table. Food was good, but presentation very lacking. Service was spotty at best. For the high price, we expected more. There are plenty of other nicer restaurants to chose from in the desert. I have a feeling Pacifica gets a lot their business because of their location on El Paseo.

Had a delicious seafood dinner at Pacifica seafood restaurant last night. Would also like to complement Jonatha and all of our servers as each, and every one of them was attentive, kind, and accommodating. My husband had the Spanish Octopus as his starter which was excellent and we shared the Bacon Wrapped Dates, rich and so good. For our main course I enjoyed the half portion of the Chilean sea bass and my husband had the delicious seared Aji tuna steak. We each ordered a glass of the J Lohr Sauvignon Blanc which was refreshing and very good. For dessert we shared and fought over Pacifica’s famous ice cream pie dessert! thank you for a another lovely dinner at your beautiful restaurant.

The restaurant was nearly full on this evening. We were seated when we checked in and handed the menus by the maitre d’. We were in a “main thoroughfare” however we did not have anyone come to our table for at least 15 minutes. We asked a couple of people for our waitress and waited another 10 minutes before she finally arrived. We would have ordered drinks and waited to order food but since we knew we wouldn’t see her again we had to put our full order in at that moment. The drinks arrived and then the salads but we had to ask for bread which no one had yet brought. Two of us ordered the scallops. I have been there before and they always serve six scallops with the full dinner but last night it was only four. I got the half order so only got two scallops, which was disappointing, even though they tasted good. My husband placed a half order of salmon (and I heard the waitress repeat it) but they brought and charged for the full order. We ordered the apple crisp for dessert and it tasted like a Yankee candle. We have been here many times and I have typically enjoyed it however, last night did not leave a good impression. Clearly they were understaffed but there was little in the way of apology for the lack of service.

If you are in Palm Desert and want an outstanding meal, go to Pacifica. The Ahi Tuna is to die for. It is what we always order for an entrée on our annual trip to the area. The salads are ample for a beginning. The Crème Brulee for dessert is a must have. Thank you, Yobany, for taking good care of us! We will be back!

Sat outside with heater. Enchanting with the lights and view of the city streets. Shrimp pasta was excellent-rich with flavor and generous with the shrimp. Sea bass was just delicious. Overall great experience

Our food experience as always was excellent the service however was poor. While the manager apologized for delays and have our table complimentary desserts our table server was not attentive or present throughout the evening.

The food was great, however, the service was poor. They were somewhat disorganized. We dined in a large outdoor area. We asked multiple times for the heater next to our table, we were a party of four, to be turned on. Twice our waiter told us it was not his job. Very inappropriate for any restaurant especially an upscale restaurant. In general, they were understaffed a couple of times I saw what appeared to be the manager come over to await her who is helping other people and overheard her tell him to move quickly to another table. They tried several times after that to turn it on without success. We requested multiple times in a friendly manner that They bring over another heater. I’ve been to many restaurants over the years where there was an issue with the heater and they brought over another heater. This was simply ignored until much later in our meal as we all were uncomfortably cold. After the appetizers as this common my fork and knife were picked up by the bus person. No replacement Was brought. The waiter not was around after the food was dropped off and a member of our party went to an empty table to provide me with a knife. I had an extra fork from the initial setting. Overall, the service was chaotic. The food was fantastic.
