    Went to Palace Cafe before a play so had an early reservation. Arrived 30 minutes early but was seated promptly. Our server Kay was excellent. Very attentive and professional. I started with the Bienville Drink which was like a cosmo very good. My husband ordered the Revillion Dinner and was very pleased with his choices, Turtle Soup, Oyster loaf, Quail and instead of carrot cake got rum cake with ice cream and whipped cream which he said was so good. I also got the Turtle soup which was very good and the Werlein salad with grilled shrimp. Shrimp were cooked perfectly. For dessert I got the white chocolate bread pudding which I always get when I come here. A great pre-play dinner.

    Went for a festive dinner before a concert and we were very disappointed. Service was inattentive and uncaring. The waitress was unable to answer our question about if a rosé was on offer, finally bringing a bottle to the table to show us what we could order by the glass. The French Onion Soup was thin, with a few pieces of bread floating in it and only a sprinkle of cheese — the worst I have ever had. The only nice thing about our experience was the lovely old building which was decorated with greenery and twinkling white lights for Christmas.

    The service and attention were beyond compare! I ordered the pork and it was very dry and tough and simply did not meet my expectations, especially in correlation to the cost.

    Our food was good — beet salad and the Pepper Duck — but the Bananas Foster blew me away! Delicious and a great show!

    We came for the Reveillon Dinner. Since we had an early reservation, we were able to take advantage of the Happy Hour drink specials. The food and the service were exceptionally good. Our server May was one of the best we have had!!

    Palace Cafe is one of our favorite restaurants in New Orleans. Today the food was as expected, excellent. Service was exceptional. The Bananas Foster was absolute perfection. We will be back.
