Colby was very pleasant and accommodating as he answered questions about the menu. I took his recommendation and thoroughly enjoyed my meal. The after-dinner Bananas Foster was sublime. Wonderful atmosphere, will be back on my next trip to New Orleans.

So happy to have found Palace Cafe in our first visit to New Orleans! The atmosphere was very sophisticated yet casual! Our meal was amazing! The gumbo as well as the pecan crusted catfish was incredible! Our server Kay was friendly, professional and an absolute delight!! 10/10 !

Our server did not seem to speak English or answer our questions and she was exceptionally slow. We almost missed the performance at Preservation Hall we had tickets for. She was very nice so maybe she just needs more training.

Really nice N’Awlins cuisine. Service a little slow, and the hard surfaces make conversation a little tough sometimes, but it’s one of my favorite places.

We went to Brennan’s the night before and we were happy with the meal. Thinking that Dickie Brennan owned Palace Cafe we would enjoy the experience. The restaurant is dirty and needs an refurbishment. The staff was average and difficult to understand. The food was average. But the table next to us had the seafood soup and he was raving about it. I will not be back. We are going to Dickie Brennan’s Steakhouse tonight and are hoping for an excellent meal. Fingers crossed.

I enjoyed the spacious 1st floor dining space, and my waiter (Donny) was good. The food, an artichoke spaghetti dish, was unimpressive (not hot, noodles clumped together), but my dirty martini was on point! Their pre-dinner bread was great.
