   Nice place, good food reasonably priced, attentive staff. Only snag was some delay in getting our table (we had a reservation). Ask to seat in the lounge for a cocktail and tapas while waiting.

   Everything was great u til we were told we had our table until a certain we book 60 days ahead of time we are on a family vacation no one wants to be rushed

   Dining here was an awful experience. Inattentive staff and poor service. Food is overpriced and underwhelming. The vegan beef Wellington is literally an impossible burger patty served on soggy overcooked vegetables. That is it. No part of that is a Wellington. The ribeye steak was served already cut in half! One of our drinks never arrived even after asking four people. With so many other choices in the area this is one to easily avoid and spend your money somewhere else.

   Three of us for dinner at 6. Ordered two apps, two cocktails and three entrees. We were told one entry, salmon sushi would be at least 20 minutes to prepare. Twenty minutes later someone brought two free apps because of delay in sushi prep. One hour later (now 7:20p) we ask about food and a couple of servers went to check. Brought back one entree. Everyone was hungry so we shared. Twenty minutes later we ask and are told the they not have the salmon sushi dish. Outta luck. So they brought the second entree (steak, delicious) but no third entree ever, no suggestions. Nothing. We got our check at 8 (cocktails at no charge) which was kind of nice but we left confused and disappointed. Delicious food and amazing setting.

   We came here for Christmas dinner, my daughter and I, we had made the reservation 5 days in advance after seeing thier menu on line we we very excited to try thier food. My daughter could not stop talking about the menu and the fact that she was looking forward to the beef carpacio. Well we arrived for our reservation and thats where it all began. Upon being seated we were given a very limited but grossly overprice "holiday menu" the prices were $54 for an entree, $77 for 2 courses and 98 if you opted for all three courses... (now mind you I get it I also own restaurants in the US and if you are going to do a holiday menu and grossly overcharge fir it at least attempt to change the items so as not to just overcharge for your regular menu items) The ribeye on thier regular menu was $39 but now by the grace of god and christmas futures the price was $54. after ordering we were presented an Amuse Bouche pumpkin "soup" (nice touch) had we actually been given silverware to eat it with or even been aforded the time to eat it before my appitizer arrived. I ordered the Foie Gras ( it wasn not foie gras but instead a mix of chicken livers and foie gras, not was I was expecting served with a pathetic store bought roll that had at one time had been grilled (why ) but was now just a square hockey puck too hard to even break. This was cleared and all silverware removed our entrees arrived, my daughters ribeye and my " rack of NZ Lamb", three sad little chops sitting on a mush of "truffle mashed potatoes" that because of the truffle cream that was used looked like road scrapings, once the food was put in front of us the staff "ghosted" us for 15 minutes, we had no silverware to eat with and tried to flag someone down but no one would make eye contact. Finally David our serever returend and asked if all was prepared as we asked (hahaha) then proceeded to bring us utensils to eat with. I told David I was not eating cold food and asked for a new plate... Christmas ruined!

   I set up a Christmas dinner reservation for 2 at Palapa Grill two months ago because I planned a vacation to Sint Maarten for the holiday season. As a pescatarian whose wife is vegetarian, the menu intrigued me because there were multiple options for the both of us and the reviews were pretty good. Much to my chagrin, I was informed that the diverse menu that I was expecting was replaced by a prix fixe Christmas menu. The menu was a truncated version of their regular dinner menu, but the prices were elevated. Same dish, but in the Christmas spirit, a higher price. Now on to the food. The pumpkin soup amuse bouche was a nice touch, but the meal went downhill from there. My wife’s eggplant dish (her only option) was decent but my sea bass plate was not good at all. It was the most bitter fish dish that I’ve ever tasted. The accompanying sauce did its best to hide the utter lack of flavor, but I couldn’t finish the dish. I’m giving 3 stars for the eggplant, pumpkin soup and desserts, which were good, but grossly overpriced due to this Christmas menu. I walked out feeling unfulfilled and ripped off. Therefore, I do NOT recommend this restaurant. Also, whatever you do, please don’t order the sea bass!

   We had a lovely meal and our server Lemson was excellent. The service was fast. In fact too fast. We were out in an hour. We were there for Christmas Day dinner and had expected the meal to be an event not a fast food experience. Had it been Wednesday lunchtime I would have been ecstatic.

   Dined here on Christmas Day. Our best dining experience on Saint Martin. Pricey but worth it.

    The dinner we had was prefixe due to the Christmas holiday on Dec 25. Each course was beyond delicious with healthy size portions. The choices included all the protein categories and vegetarian. We took a cab so not sure about the parking situation but didn't notice a lot. Our waiter David, was prompt, polite, and a great server. The only surprise was the additional restaurant cost to the bill (before the tip). Would def go back for a special occasion.
