It's always a pleasure to dine here. The dining room is intimate and comfortable. The food is very well prepared and beautifully presented. We shared the MOZZARELLA DI BUFALA, ASPARAGI E PROSCIUTTO and PAPPARDELLE ALLA POLPA DI GRANCHIO (DF). I had the fish of the day (Walleye) and my wife had chicken en croute. The paired Sauvignon Blanc (2022) and Nebbiolo Reserve (2021) were also very good, but the star wine was the dessert Paxxito 2019 (I had never tasted a wine made in the Passito style). It was paired with the blueberry cobbler. We spent the night at a nearby inn so we could really enjoy the long lunch.

Our trip thru the Monticello Wine trail took us to this amazing restaurant nestled in the vineyards of Barboursville Vineyards! As if the outstanding wine wasn’t enough, the food was fabulous. From the salad starter thru the wine infused risotto… and to top it all off the vanilla gelato with espresso to pour over and biscotti did not disappoint! Fabulous food, wine and service! Highly recommend!

Guests with reservations were waiting outside the restaurant as their doors remain locked until exactly 6:30pm, kind of confusing. I expected more from this restaurant, it has been better in the past when Melissa Hart was the head chef. My Buffalo Mozzarella Appetizer was fine but nothing remarkable. The Risotto with Lamb Ragu was too al dente, it needed a couple of more minutes in the pot. You can take a pass on the Pork Milanesa, it was pounded thin and too tough. The dipping sauce felt like just a basic mustard concoction of little imagination. If you live in Charlottesville, go to Fleurie for better fare without taking the long drive to Barboursville

Palladio offers a friendly, relaxed fine dining experience. Every dish was exceptional and the wine was perfect. I love that, despite being one of the finest restaurants and vineyards in the country, the atmosphere in the restaurant is warm and hospitable and the grounds are welcoming to wine connoisseurs and families, alike. I live outside Chicago but prefer Palladio over any dining experience I’ve ever had. My only regret is that I don’t live close enough to enjoy it more often.

Palladio continues to be our favorite restaurant. The food is extraordinary. The service is impeccable and the atmosphere transcends you to a quiet and comfortable restaurant where you can celebrate or just have a great meal with friends and family. The never-ending modifications to the menu allow you to come back for a wonderful surprise each visit. A must place to visit if you’re in the area.

Palladio is in a beautiful setting and it is easy to imagine that you are in Tuscany. The ambiance is amazing and the service is impeccable. The wine selection is notable and the menu is lovely. We had a memorable experience having lunch there. For the most part, the food was superb: the beef carpaccio was delicious as was the panna cotta. I would only mark them down a tiny bit as my halibut was a tiny bit dry. Otherwise, it was wonderful and we will return!

My wife and I shared our annual joint birthday dinner at Palladio. Chef Mike "knocks it out of the park" with his menu. Being Catholic, and being a Friday in Lent, we were limited to the non-meat menu items, but there was still plenty to choose from, and everything was delicious.

The wine is definitely the highlight of having lunch here. The service is also excellent. The appetizer was amazing. I had the pork chop and it was a little over cooked. For my taste anyway, I don’t recall being asked. The dessert and coffee excellent also.

Dining a Palladio was wonderful! It was like dining in Italy. the restaurant was lovely, the service was excellent as was the food and wine. The prices of the meal was like any upscale restaurant. The wine was more expensive but so well chosen to go with the meal. A delightful experience.
