   This was our second time dining here, the most recent time we went for the NYE where they had a set menu for the evening. The food tasted great however it was $140 per person which did not include any form of a drink. We both ordered the New York strips, I received a clearly different cut of meat and my boyfriend received just about 4oz of steak. The guest next to us who arrived after us, ordered the same thing and had about twice the size of steaks. We also were unable to have the mashed potatoes that come with the steak because they ran out. They substitute mashed potatoes for fries, which were great but when you pay $140 per person and you get such a small portion of food, and not even the correct entrée they presented. It is very frustrating. We did not complain to the waitress as we just wanted to try and enjoy the night due to the celebration, but I did leave a voicemail for management the following day and have yet to hear anything back.

   Went for NYE’s special dinner. Long wait for our reservation didn’t get seated till 15-20 minutes after. The chairs are horrible and incredibly uncomfortable on my back. The food was okay but didn’t meet expectations and a bit overpriced

   Happy New Year! Last night was fantastic! The Chef and his crew did not disappoint! The Amuse of smoked trout with roe was incredibly perfect. It was well balanced with just the right amount of smoke flavor. The kale and squash salad is exactly how I each during the winter months. And the labneh set this dish over the top. It’s was my first taste of a row 7 vegetable and was wonderful. For the 1st time at Paradisaea, I chose a beef dish. Of course the beef was wonderful being from SRF and the pave was crisp and soft. For me, the stars of the dish were the Bernaise out of the ISO canister and the umami rich caramelized onion puree. It took a steak and potatoes dish to out of this world. Lastly, the pavlova with apples was pure joy. And the addition of tarragon elevated it to amazing! The service is so friendly and knowledgeable! This is my favorite restaurant in San Diego!

   We had the Christmas dinner and it was amazing. Servers were very kind the drinks are amazing. Would a 100% come back and try their regular menu

    Paradiseae exceeded my expectations in every way - food, ambience and service were first class. I was especially impressed that the chef created custom vegan and pescatarian multi-course meals so that we could all enjoy the Chef’s menu. Everyone loved the creative and delicious food and cocktails. Will definitely come back if we’re in town again. Tip for vegans: contact the restaurant in advance so they can accommodate.
