This was an excellent experience. The service was outstanding, and the food was simply delicious. The restaurant was not too busy, so our food came out quickly. It seemed as if it prepared for a larger crowd as our table was right against another table instead of spreading us out. Nonetheless, they were not loud, so we both had great visits.

Overall the experience and food were good. The food I experienced at a catered function we had at Paschal’s was better tasting than the open restaurant.

Had 11am reservation on Easter Sunday. Doors were unlocked at 1115am. Seating was slow as you pay before you are seated. Food was excellent.

Disappointing Experience – BEWARE of Billing Practices I recently visited Paschal’s in Atlanta with a party of four adults and one child. While the restaurant has historical significance, our experience was marred by what felt like predatory billing practices. Gratuity (18%) was automatically included in the bill—fine in theory—but it was not disclosed clearly. There was no printed bill provided; instead, servers carry tablets for payment. After tapping your card, a second prompt for an additional tip appears, making it easy to unknowingly double-tip. When I noticed discrepancies and questioned the server, I was met with a defensive tone. I requested an itemized bill and had to wait nearly 30 minutes for a printed copy. Upon reviewing it, we discovered both couples at our table were charged two gratuities: the built-in 18% and an additional 20% from the tablet prompt. There was no signage or verbal warning that a tip had already been included. I asked to speak with a manager, and although I explained the issue to the server, bartender, and the hostess, no manager ever came to speak with us. Eventually, the server refunded only the second tip—but the experience left a bad taste. Given Paschal’s reputation and the significance it holds in Atlanta’s Black history, it’s especially disheartening to see practices like this potentially targeting unaware tourists. Transparency is key, and unfortunately, this visit fell far short of that. Double-check your bill—and proceed with caution.

My drink was Peach Auburn which was delicious 👍🏽 The Cajun Salmon , Fried catfish was delicious, moist & tender. Don’t leave without tasting the Peach Cobbler . This is our stop when we come here from NY.

We went during the week, so there was not a lot people. The service was quick and the food delicious. I got the wing dinner with side of mac and cheese. My table mate got the same with a side of black eye peas and greens. The sides I tasted were good.
