Paya is an exuberant, island-inspired restaurant and bar located on Miami’s South Beach founded by Mohamed “Mo” Alkassar and Chef Niven Patel, the duo behind FEAL Hospitality. It is a platform for Chef Niven Patel to pay homage to the insular cuisines of the Caribbean, Southeast Asia, and Spain’s islands, where he and Mo have either worked or visited extensively. Chef Niven’s dishes incorporate ingredients he grows at Rancho Patel, complemented by vibrant wines and tropical, farm to glass cocktails.

The restaurant features 56 dining room seats, 25 bar seats, and 8 raw bar seats, with a gorgeous display of fresh seafood. Expect to jam to some Manu Chao style music while basking in the vibrant island vibes and flavors. South Beach has been home to Mo since he moved to Miami in 2016, and Paya is his thank-you to the community that supported him through his journey.

This was our third experience at Paya. Each has been consistently outstanding. The ambience is tropical and most inviting. Service is attentive and impeccable. The food is a visual and gustatory explosion of delight with careful attention to preparation and execution. Paya is deserving of every accolade. Please do not miss this gem on Miami Beach!

Paya is exceptional! We had dinner reservations for every night of our trip and this was by far the best food and service of any place we went. The interior dining room is beautifully designed but don’t miss out on the outside seating in the back which is a peaceful poolside oasis and nice for an intimate gathering or larger group.the service is above and beyond. Attentive but not fussy and so knowledgeable about each dish and the speciality cocktails. We did the tasting menu and enjoyed everything! The papaya salad was a stand out, as was the ceviche with plantain. The lamb chop was a stunning surprise. All of the sauces on every dish are pure perfection. Portions are plentiful but not overwhelming. We added one appetizer to the tasting, which we didn’t really need but just wanted to try more things. This place is a Miami Beach don’t miss!

We walked in for a 7 o'clock reservation and the place was not crowded, my wife said 'ong why did you book this place!' We walked out after our unbelievable meal and my wife said 'omg, thank you for booking this place!' Food was superb, great layers of flavor in every bite. Truffle Brie grilled cheese, lamb chops, Thai fried chicken among the many standouts on this eclectic menu! Will be back again!

The atmosphere is great. Outdoor seating is fun and the interior has a nice vibe as well. The staff members are super attentive and friendly and know the menu well. Great environment for a fun casual meal as a couple or with friends. The roast cauliflower was a great sharing "extra entree"!

Food was outstanding. Appetizers were delicious. Tamarind lamb chops, papaya salad and conch fritters are clear winners. Lemongrass fish was superb as well as special whole yellow tail. Chhimmichuri skirt steak was cooked perfectly. No room for dessert! Have to go back for sure!

Food is so good and the tasting is a great way to try several items and it’s priced appropriately. The portions are perfect. Not too small, not too big. My server was great. I was a single diner and he made me feel like I belonged. I’ll definitely come back for sure.
