Paya is an exuberant, island-inspired restaurant and bar located on Miami’s South Beach founded by Mohamed “Mo” Alkassar and Chef Niven Patel, the duo behind FEAL Hospitality. It is a platform for Chef Niven Patel to pay homage to the insular cuisines of the Caribbean, Southeast Asia, and Spain’s islands, where he and Mo have either worked or visited extensively. Chef Niven’s dishes incorporate ingredients he grows at Rancho Patel, complemented by vibrant wines and tropical, farm to glass cocktails.

The restaurant features 56 dining room seats, 25 bar seats, and 8 raw bar seats, with a gorgeous display of fresh seafood. Expect to jam to some Manu Chao style music while basking in the vibrant island vibes and flavors. South Beach has been home to Mo since he moved to Miami in 2016, and Paya is his thank-you to the community that supported him through his journey.

The waitstaff was very pleasant & attentive. The restaurant was well designed & decently. The food was delicious but there was a considerable wait between our appetizer & entree.

Exceptional food and outstanding service! We did the tasting menu, which was a lot of delicious variety. And on Tuesday the drinks are only $10, which is quite a bargain for South Beach.

The drinks and food were creative and tasty. Interesting flavors. Menu to handle multiple dietary needs. The service was attentive but not harassing, like other Miami Beach restaurants. Waiter and team all worked together smoothly. The backyard was fun and lush. All around great experience.

We sat outside in the patio and it was a perfect night on Valentine's Day. The service, food and cocktails are outstanding! Thank you for a wonderful night. We'll be back!
