   The food was amazing - my highlights were the smoked mussel gilda, the crab bun and the cuttlefish lasagna but everything was fantastic so hard to pick a favourite! Really interesting cocktail menu, very friendly and helpful service, cool decor. Our only minor complaint was that in the downstairs area the low lighting made it a little difficult to read the menus.

   slightly disappointed as was benching this against cornerstone. The £5 gilda was tiny and really quite underwhelming. All the other dishes were decent and the hake kiev was outstanding. However, £8 courgette was inedible, quite unpleasant that the other two people with me refused to eat...

   Lovely experience, Christina (?) was a superb host, great drinks, fabulous food and a nice chat with Tom. Really couldn’t fault anything. The food is superb and the pricing ridiculously cheap for the quality. Loved Cornerstone and wish I had got myself into gear to go to PQ sooner. Cannot wait to go back. At this quality and value of money I hope to be a regular.

   This was our first time visiting Pearly Queen and it was amazing so much so that as soon as we arrived back at our hotel we rebooked for next week. The oysters were some of the tastiest we have had in London and the hake (which we shared along with winter greens) was also one of the tastiest dishes we have had in a very long while. The wine list and service was excellent and what we really liked was that the table we were allocated was big enough for us to share the food which is often not the case in most London restaurants.

   Some of the best seafood I've had in a while. The Hake Kyiv and the Crab Bun worthy of particular mention. Occasionally the fish was a little overwhelmed by the sauce (eg the trout tartare) but all delicious. Charming service. Surprised the place wasn't busier (it was lunchtime). Will definitely be back.

   I’ve had a terrible experience here for my birthday after very much looking forward to it. The service was terrible, the waiter was awkward and we felt judged for not ordering the set menu. At other points the waitress tried to clear our table when we clearly were not finished with our food. On a Saturday, the restaurant was empty with only 4 covers upstairs but despite this they attempted to sit us at the bar until we refused (but continued to push us). The food was disappointing. Overall everything was extremely salty. I did enjoy the cocktail but that was it. The food was named a sharing concept by the waiter but the way the dishes were served certainly didn’t feel right. You can feel the awkwardness among the other tables also. I add to the already terrible night, the bill was v expensive for essentially a few oysters and main each and not even a full bottle of wine (almost £200). We wouldn’t have minded if it wasn’t such a terrible experience. Overall, I was sadly very disappointed and it ruined what was a nice day. I would avoid this place.

   Went there on a Friday evening and the place was half empty. The atmosphere was very flat and the experience was not one I would want to repeat. Some dishes were good but the hake Kyiv was frankly disappointing. It was supposed to be served with a lobster butter but there wasn’t the most hint of a lobster flavour. In fact, this is a dish that is probably ill conceived. While chichen may work in a Kiev, hake does not. Service was so so. All in all disappointment.

    Only problem was when we got the wrong beers at the start of our meal. They didn’t have what we ordered so Instead of offering us a choice of what they did have, they just brought up 2 peroni’s
