   Great appetizers, good side dishes, excellent service. Comfortable seating. The steak did not seem to have the prime marbling expected at this price level, and the dry aged flavor was lacking. Everything was excellent and the steak was meh.

   We had a 6:45 PM reservation for four and did not get seated until 7:15. It appeared as there was not enough wait staff and that ruined the evening. The service was almost like we did not exist. Obvioulsy unhappy the waiter at the end of the meal told us since we were so patient throughout the whole experience that desert was on the house. Our party had 4 people and when the bill arrived we were charged for 2 out of 4 deserts - not the accomodation we were told. That was the culmiation of a rather mediocre evening. We chose this restaurant from our past great expereinces and last night was a total let down..Would think twice in returning.....I am giving one Star as the food was up to its ususal high standard. We also observed a couple who walked in right behind us with 6:45 PM reservations too walk out at 7:20 PM after being abandoned at the bar and they never made it to a table. For a high quality steakhouse on a Saturday evening you really left us with a disappointing experience as it was our wedding anniverary and we were celebrating with our family. No excuse offered could compensate for the lack-luster service last night!

   Baked clams were delicious! So were my stuffed shrimp and the steak. Service was very attentive and kind. Free digestif and cake singing for my husband's birthday. Thanks so much!

   Peter and Ari understand the concept of running a great steakhouse. Both have a lot of knowledge and experience on how to prepare, cater, and welcome guests. Friendly and sincere are their underlying traits. When I arrived, i dis not know Peter was actually greeting guests. Felt at home immediately, and when I mentioned watching the NY Knicks basketball playoff game, he put me at a table where I can view the TV. 1st warm and amazingly great smelling bread with butter was placed on the table. I can have just eaten the entire bread basket alone! When my buddy arrived, I placed an order for a mule, but with mezcal, and it was easily accommodated. Ari, our waiter and partner, was easy in conversing with. We wanted to have the Chateaubriand steak for two, since it's not easily available in most places. I wanted mine Med while my buddy wanted Med Well. Ari found a way to make it happen. The steaks came out perfect and tender. Ari suggested we accompany the steak with sauteed spinach and the potatoes. The potatoes were crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle and super delish!! Meanwhile Peter floated around from table to table making sure the guests were satisfied and the people dining already were definitely pleased. Peter also helped clearing tables of plates and other items. That's makes a good owner!! After dinner, my buddy and I shared the cheesecake and some coffee. We truly had an exceptional dining experience. No need to go all the way into Manhattan especially with the dumb congestion pricing, paying another hefty price to park as well. I live in Queens and it was easier to 5 here than midtown Manhattan. My buddy is already planning to take his dates here as well. What a great night and thank you, Peter and Ari!!

   Mother's Day menu had great choices. Service was excellent, lots of friendly attention. Neighborhood gem.

   We went to Peter‘s to celebrate a milestone birthday on the recommendation of a friend, so I was expecting a wonderful meal. Unfortunately, they were having a party with about 30 or more people at an enormous table and had left about four small tables vacant. We were seated at one of the four empty tables.  I asked the manager if it would get very noisy because my elderly parents would not be able to hear if that was the case. He assured me that we would be fine. Not so. Instead, we couldn’t hear a word that anyone on our table said, the party that was happening in the space took over, there were people yelling and laughing Across the room. At one point children were even doing handstands next to our table. The staff gave most of their attention to that huge party, and we barely saw a waiter all night. The restaurant really should’ve been closed to outside guests in a situation like that, and the manager should have been straightforward with us from the beginning. Unfortunately, the food was not as good as I was hoping, one of the steaks came out very undercooked, and when we sent it back, they just reheated it instead of firing a new one, and it came back well done. Had to send it back again. The manager did try to make things better by removing the price of the improperly cooked steak from the bill, and giving us 10% off of our bill. I’m glad that the attempt was made, but honestly, it was too little too late. In the future, I hope that the staff at Peter’s recognizes that it is a loud restaurant to begin with as there is no carpet or other soft surfaces and everything echoes, so if they’re going to have a very large party, it needs to be addressed somehow. we will not be returning.

   Hi, this is Peter from Peter’s Steakhouse. I’m surprised by your review, given the many accommodations we made. I personally seated your party of six—despite your reservation being for four and no prior notice—and gave you a spacious corner table. I addressed your noise concerns up front and took your order myself, your table ordered one drink that being a Shirley Temple. When your steak wasn’t to your liking, I had it recooked and provided a second one free of charge for both steaks. We also gave you a complimentary dessert for your son’s birthday and 10% off your bill. While the restaurant was lively, as steakhouses often are, we gave your table the same attention as others. It’s disappointing that our efforts were so overlooked.

   We were a party of 6 dining here for the 1st time. Warm bread and rolls arrived promptly. Cocktails were perfect. Service was exceptional. Apps and entrees were top-notch.Peter, the owner, stopped by our table to chat. He sent over port after our meal. It was much appreciated. Would def recommend and would love to return. There was no valet parking on a Tuesday night but we were directed to park at the service station next door. Also, street parking around the corner, free after 7pm. Takes quarters before 7.

   Heard many great things about Peter’s and finally took the plunge and made a reservation with friends. The food was fabulous! Had lobster Mac & cheese, the mushrooms, spinach, lobster tail, etal. Delish!!! And their Hugo Spritzes are ON point. At no time did they ever rush us off the table. Great place to enjoy good food and good friends. Will def be back.
