In 2024, the original location of Petit Trois, on Highland Ave in Hollywood, celebrates 10 years as a beloved, can't miss part of LA's dining scene. Chef/Owner Ludo Lefebvre puts his spin on classic French flavors including the cult-favorite Big Mec burger, swimming in rich Bordelaise sauce, perfectly roasted Heritage chicken with compressed potatoes fried in clarified butter, a French Dip sandwich served with a version of the restaurant's onion soup for dipping, and lots more. Start with the restaurant's housemade baguette served with the creamiest French butter and pair it all with wine from the restaurant's thoughtfully curated list, which includes 16 by the glass options. With a design inspired by classic Parisian bistros, Petit Trois transports guests in its 2 dining areas as well as an outdoor patio. The dining room is also available for private events.

From the OpenTable editors: Acclaimed chef Ludo Lefebvre is still turning out some of the best French food in the city at his award-winning postage stamp-sized bistro in Hollywood open since 2014. Best French onion soup on the west coast - entire menu is amazing French bistro food so authentic you could be in Lyon. And now with the expanded seating, it’s an absolute pleasure for any size group.

Our new favorite in LA. Yes, it’s been around for years but my first visit was in December and we’ve already been back. The bar seating by the kitchen is my personal favorite.

Outstanding food and service. Steak frites were delicious and the beef was so tender. The trout almondine was perfectly prepared — buttery delicate with crispy skin. The only complaint is the martini is small and pricey at $23.50.

The onion soup, the steak, fruits, the most fabulous butter, lettuce salad! Service was superb. The staff tirelessly works, works and works, and the chef sends out magnificent food.

This is one of my favorite spots in LA. Today, however, service was super slow. Nice server, but it shouldn't take 1 1/2 hours for your mains to arrive. I guess they were short staffed or something, and I hope this is only a temporary blip as I usually love it. Might give it a miss for a while though.

Disappointing service during a lunch for two that came with attitude and poor listening. It took 30 minutes to get a beer and a diet coke. They forgot one starter, and the timing was staggered from there. They could not tell which steak was cooked which way.
