   Absolutely terrible customer service, the host, the servers, the cooks, it just looked like chaos and it was not even busy. Took 20 minutes for us to get waters to our table and when our server came to our table, don’t know her name bc she never introduced herself (great serving skills), she completely forgot to put in our drinks and about 10 minutes later came back to get our food order and we said we wanted to wait on our drinks. She walked away, 5 minutes later she came back to ask us what drinks we ordered, after we already ordered them with her. We proceeded to wait another 10 minutes, seeing no bartender making drinks, before we got up and told the hostess we were leaving. The place had good reviews, a 4.8 but that’s terribly wrong. I don’t know if they got all their staff, friends, & family to make these bogus reviews but they are all lies. Nothing is amazing about this restaurant and the fact they can’t even give good service but expect me to pay $30 for steak and potatoes is ridiculous. Please, please, please tell every single person you know to NEVER go here. It will be the worst restaurant experience you ever have.

   My husband, daughter and I has a 12 reservation. Our order was taken around 12:15 and we didn’t receive our food until around 1:30. Our waitress never came over and gave us updates on our food. Once she served us our drinks, we didn’t see her again until our food came and we needed condiments. The food was good, but the long wait just took away from the taste. Once we received our check, I told the waitress they should discount the ticket because we had to wait so long and they had a 10 charge on the ticket for a miscellaneous charge and they took that off. The owner came around and she was apologetic and I informed her that our waitress only took 10 off of our ticket and she stated the next time we visit the restaurant our food will be on them. I feel like a lot more should have been done. Overall I was very disappointed.

   Food was really good but the wait to get the food was extremely long, especially since there were only a few other customers in the restaurant.

   One of the best dining experiences we have had. From service to the food we’re are amazing. They are not enough stars to rank this restaurant. It’s a must try.

   My wife had shrimp and grits and I had catfish and grits. We both enjoyed our meals. The grits were amazing.

   The food at Phyllis is fabulous! LOVE the shrimp and grits and chicken and waffles! 😋 Trent provided excellent service and made our dining experience wonderful. 🎉
