Piccola Cucina Osteria it's our gem in the heart of SoHo. The Chef and owner Philip Guardione opened in January 2013 to bring in the city the real taste of Sicily.
Friendly service with a buzzy atmosphere, all in a typical Italian restaurant setting. It is matched by home cooking like you would expect to eat in Italy, which is one of the keys to the success of the restaurant. Fully renovated in 2021 the location looks warm and cozy.

Our other two Piccola Cucina locations in Manhattan are:
Piccola Cucina Estiatorio ( 75 Thompson street )
Piccola Cucina Uptown ( 106 E 60th Street )

Piccola Cucina Osteria accepts online requests for parties smaller than 6 guests only.

Awesome food! The only downside would be that it will be a TIGHT squeeze. New York City is small, so expect to squeeze into a small space! Other than that, the food was amazing! I would recommend coming for the lunch special, Monday-Friday!

this has to be the best Italian food we have had and we have been all over Italy even the couple next to us mentioned how good it was and better than Italy so yes we recommend but be prepared. It is tight quarters very very tiny restaurant but well worth it and I will come here every time I come to New York thank you for the great service and the great food we’re still talking about it

I had a terrible experience at this Italian restaurant yesterday with my friend. The restaurant is very small, yet they crammed in way too many tables, making the space incredibly cramped. Toward the end of our meal, three new customers arrived, and since there weren’t enough seats, the staff asked us to move to another table to make space for them. This was extremely inconvenient as we had quite a few items on our table. The arrangement felt very unreasonable and disrespectful. What made it worse was the rude attitude of the server. While we were still enjoying our dessert, she kept urging us to leave and even placed the bill on our table without us asking. She later grabbed the bill without any regard for whether we had finished. Her behavior was completely unprofessional and impolite. On top of that, some dishes on the menu weren’t even available. It honestly made me question how this restaurant is even operating. Overall, the poor layout, terrible service, and incomplete menu make this restaurant a place I will never visit again. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Incredibly tight space. First table was wobbly and right next to the place where the food comes out of the kitchen and a server was right next to the table all the time. The second table was wobbly as well and had to be fixed again. They have a TV screen which shows some ads for city tours in Italy which is weird and the music is all over the place. The "ambience" needs major improvements. The chef's appetizer place was great and the pasta was well cooked. Nothing amazing. The Creme Brulee which is on the menu is a lime cake with caramelized sugar, please don't call it a Creme Brulee.
