   There’s a lot to like but it’s the little things that let the food down. Ordered the truffle special Burrata as a starter. It’s not cheap but it has fresh truffle, so that’s ok. But it came to the table clearly straight from a very cold fridge, which kills the flavour and texture. So, 2 expensive ingredients that are fantastic to eat, ruined because they’ve been refeidgerated until the last minute rather than brought to the correct temperature. If you want to charge those prices and serve those ingredients, please treat them properly and let them shine.

   Lovely round table for 6 of us. Excellent food and staff excelled themselves. Very friendly, fun and helpful. Our friends, who hadn't been to a Piccolino before were very impressed.

   Beautiful restaurant, wonderful staff. Had a super meal. Love that we were not rushed through our meal. Carpaccio was delish. As was my pasta, tagliatelle with prawns. Partner had a ribeye and peppercorn sauce (he thought the sauce slightly bland). Steak cooked as requested. Definitely go back.

   This is a new restaurant to Henley, part of a large established quality chain. As we were shown to our table we’d not even sat and menus were thrust to us whilst we had arms still in coats. The next waitress was kind and attentive brining drinks in a timely manner. We ordered, starters arrived, waited an age for our mains. I’d ordered spaghetti vongole- Sandy, tasteless, was just ghastly. In fact all the pasta and risotto dishes were the same. Nothing was seasoned, garlic and white wine had clearly gone on strike! I sent mine back and ordered a margarita pizza - the simplest thing. Again tasteless - the marinara sauce was lacking in everything! The manager did kindly deduct all the mains from the bill but going forward we can’t eat there until radical change is implemented and communicated. Such a shame as the ambience was great and the decor really lovely.

   I ordered a GF pizza & the base was raw. I had to send it back twice. My son’s steak was really dry. There was quite a long time between starters & mains & there was no rapport really between the server & our party. Left feeling very disappointed & it was my son’s 30th.

   We really enjoyed our birthday celebration lunch, the food, drinks and service were all first class. The staff were very attentive and friendly, with a high attention to detail. My wife received a complimentary glass of sparkling wine and a lovely birthday cake, as well as a ‘happy birthday to you’ rendition at our table. All in all, a delightful experience. Thank you.

    I ordered insalate tricolore which was mostly tomatoes w we iTunes not enough mozzarella or avocado. Disappointed with this dish . Charming host , average waitress .
