   Our lunch meals were all main course size; some of us would have preferred entree size options. Great service though. The Theakston XB is a great pint!

   It was recommended to me from a regular. I took my family for my birthday. The atmosphere and ambience were amazing. The place has character. The food was great. The service was ok. We had 2 parties at the table. We had to order at the bar. There is no table service. I ordered first. The second group in our booth got their food first. After 10 minutes, i went and asked about our food and how the second group got their food first. He went and looked into it. He came back and said they had moved my order up in the queue. It made no sense. When the food eventually arrived, i asked the waitress why that had happened, and she told me she would find out. No one ever came back to explain it. I ate alone on the table because everyone else had finished their food before mine came out. It was my birthday. Overall, poor. I'll never go back.

   Next level pub grub with PROPER CHEF cooked dishes, a full bar with cocktails, a wide selection of craft beers on draft and a level of fast and friendly service that make this British style pub a local icon.

   This is an incredible British/Irish style restaurant. It’s my favourite restaurant to visit due to it being family friendly and peaceful.

   Fabulous service from the minute we entered. Welcoming atmosphere and the open fire was really nice on a fond, wet night. Meals were huge, but delicious

    We have dined there for a number of years and generally bring interstate visitors to the Tavern. Our present visitors asked to be taken again, as they had such a nice time previously
