Overlooking the picturesque Church of Mary Magdalen on London Bridge’s historic Bermondsey Street, Pizarro is a 80-seater bar and restaurant offering classical Spanish cooking freshened up for the modern diner. The finest ingredients of the season are sourced from the UK and Spain to conjure up the big flavors of rural Spain, where Jose Pizarro grew up. The restaurant offers reservations for tables for 2-4 persons, banquette seating for 4-6 people and a private dining room seating 8-10 people. Bar and informal shared seating at the front of the restaurant is held for walk-in diners, so everyone gets the opportunity to dine. The restaurant is open from midday till 11pm every day except Sunday when we close at 10pm, The bar is open all day serving drinks, plates of cheese and charcuterie, aperitivos (cold appetisers) and desserts.

    I loved the decor and the ambience of the restaurant. The food was great. The wine was expensive though. I enjoyed it very much and was pleased to have been there. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

    Very friendly service. The kitchen is open to the restaurant so you can see the care and attention that goes into the preparation of the food. The lunch menu on the day was varied and beautifully presented and did not disappoint. I would definitely return and thoroughly recommend Pizarro's.

    Quite exceptional food in a very modern and comfortable restaurant. Its a long walk though out from the South Bank. It was a tad more expensive than I had budgeted for but the quality of the food was quite exceptional.

    Good evening ruined by the wine waiter. Despite me touching the bottle before it was opened to say it was too cold, he suggested it was ok to drink a £50 of wine ice cold, and then swilled it around a decanter to warm it up so it had a head like beer!

    The food and ambience was lovely. Unfortunately, the service wasn't great at all! So much so, we were having to get up from the table to find a waitress!

    Outstanding food of the highest quality. Hugely attentive service, but 'ruined' by the postcript/reflection that they are hard-selling over priced wine. Should they be recommending and charging £53 for an Albarino with a published retail price of £16? If Jose cares for his reputation he should either come out and justify this or do something about it. Otherwise it is undermining his standing as a chef.

    A great tapas meal tonight, we went through the card and enjoyed everything from the ham to the octopus only slight disappointment was the iberico pork. Great well informed service and wine advice too.
