Situated on the eighth floor of the Port of Leith Distillery, the Distillery Bar is a premium new-wave Whisky Bar and Scottish food & drink destination.

With stunning views of Edinburgh, Leith and the Firth of Forth, the 300-bottle double-height back bar is intended to invite discovery at the sheer wonder and variety of global whisky alchemy.

With a critically acclaimed seasonal inspired food menu, Head Chef Patrick and his team combine classic and modern techniques, championing the best of Scotland’s farmers and produce.

We look forward to welcoming you in for a dram.

    We find the thought of hanging out in our whisky distillery to be pretty exciting and we thought others would too. We’ve created a number of spaces within the building that you can hire out for corporate meetings, birthday parties, weddings, private tastings or high-level secret discussions.

    We had the taster menu with a glass of fizz. We didn’t like the 2nd course. It was a large radicchio in a cheese dressing. It was very bitter and we left most of it. The staff came back to us after our plates were taken and asked if we would like a different starter. We weren’t expecting them to do that which showed great service. The rest of the meal was lovely. Great service and a great venue!

    We did the tour first with Izzy and it was really good. Interesting and informative. We then had the 4 taster menu. All of it was delicious, the charcuterie and curried cauliflower soup! Yummy. My favourite was the crab on a home made potato scone. I am salivating just thinking about it. Cocktails lovely too and great staff. The views amazing .

    The demolition works are nearly complete, allowing the vertical distillery to have some space to breathe. Our previous three visits had been after dark,with twinkling lights in all directions, so we were looking forward to a daylight panoramic view. No such luck. We arrived as a sea fret, or haar, set in. The building was shrouded in fine cloud -- until darkness fell, when everything cleared, and the stars twinkled again. It's rare to find a menu where one course doesn't feel a little weaker than the others. Here all courses shouted success. Clare and Sam, as usual, were in top form welcoming guests, and now have able support.
