   The food was not very good. My pasta had so much pepper on it I couldn’t eat it and it was very dry.

   I am very surprised by your comments. We have 2 dishes with fresh black pepper: one is "cacio e pepe", which means cheese and pepper, it is always very creamy, as made with heavy cream. The other one is Carbonara, which also requires a generous sprinkle of pepper but it is not made with heavy cream, and it is not supposed to be creamy. Not sure which one you had, I can assure both follow the most authentic Italian recipes and are prepared exactly as they should. Having said that, if you had mentioned to your waiter we would have gladly prepared a new dish without extra pepper.

   Everything was perfect… the bruschetta, butternut squash soup, Super Tuscan wine, chicken Parmesan was crispy and delicious! And tartufo and carrot cake were superb💞

   My first visit and I ordered the grouper entree from the menu. It was described as lightly fried but there was quite a thick crust of fried coating AND I could definitely tell the fish had been frozen. Since grouper was one of the specials of the evening I assumed all of the grouper would be fresh. Too bad. The service was attentive and the atmosphere was pleasant. I’ll give it another try.

   Good morning Melissa, maybe you tried the Grouper Livornese? The special of the day was the Grouper Elba and it is not fried at all, it is pan seared and vert soft. The grouper Livornese is lightly 'breaded' with just flour , we get it crispy before it is covered with a puttanesca sauce / that is how we prepare this dish in Tuscany. It should not at all have a 'thick crust', sorry if the dish did not come right, I wish you had told your waiter and we would have gladly cooked another for you. We will be looking forward to hosting you again!

   We started our meal with the fried calamari and shrimp which was cooked to perfection and my fiancé had the eggplant parm and I had the zuppa di pesce , both excellent. We finished with limoncello cake, delicious.

    This is our favorite restaurant in Myrtle Beach....the owners make us feel so much at home and welcomed....the food is delicious.....and they have high quality wine for great prices....the desserts are super....and they play piped in music that is soft and really pleasant.... We love Giovanni and Ilma...the owners....and Giovanni is one of the chefs there...he is from Florence, Italy and his wife Ilma is from Brazil.....the service is amazing from Nick and Joe.....
