   We had a fantastic time at the Portside Tavern. It was our first visit and got William as a server. He was phenomenal, he was patient and interacted with both our kids (9 and 2). He was very attentive and he was easily one of the best servers we’ve ever had. Great job William! Next up is the food. The food was very, very good! The only reason for the star deduction was for the General Al’s chicken. This may be a very subjective issue but we (my wife and I) thought it had waaaaay too much black pepper taste. It was like someone may have inadvertently used a tablespoon instead of a teaspoon when measuring to make the dish. It was edible, but you definitely had to get past the black pepper flavor first. Like I said, it may have just been my wife and I’s palate so I’m not going to hit them too much on that. The interior of the place was very nice and the dining room was wide open and separated from the bar by a really nice fireplace. The drink lists was extensive and had plenty of craft brews if you’re into that. TWe can see why he cocktail menu had some really great options too, we had the watermelon margarita and the maple chai old fashioned and we highly recommend both! All in all, we are very happy we tried this place and we will most certainly be back!

   The waitress that we had last night was incredible. She was very attentive. She came back to make sure we had enough to drink and how the food was. It was such a pleasure to have her as a waitress. The food was excellent. It was nice place to take your friends

   Quick service, appetizers came out quickly and were very good. Chourico cakes were a little overdone, but, very good. Main dishes all very good.
