We ordered the pork loin katsu, beef bourguignon, and the special lobster ravioli. The beignets were light and delicious! Bread pudding was more like a croffle; it was ok. Our waiter forgot our coffee, so we finished most of our dessert before it came, and it was very watered down (maybe in the haste to get it to us). The toasted bread under the poached eggs was too soft & soggy. The chilaquiles came out cold and soggy as well, and very underwhelming. The beignets tasted “ok” but also looked a little too burnt and darkish brown and took forever to come out, which makes me feel that they probably forgot that it was in the fryer, hence, why it looked burnt. Ambience was nice but music was so loud I felt like I had to shout. Loud music in the evening might be appropriate for the evening crowd looking for more of a late night bar and drinks vibe. The service was good overall. There are definitely servers who seem inexperienced but everyone was giving 100% effort so the mistakes weren't a big deal. If they keep working to as hard as they are, they should be successful. Some tips...improve communication between servers, make sure servers clear dirty silver ware and don't leave it on the bare table. Bartender in the back needs some experience with classic cocktails. \n\nEveryone was friendly and working hard to take care of us. The front side of the venue is very loud. I preferred the back where it was a little quieter. I also enjoyed the decor and ambiance in the back more. The bar is beautiful. \n\nThe food was good! Not as good as Eos & Nyx but it has potential. I really enjoyed my salmon dish. The Appetizer Rib was good but not $18 good (yet). Everything needed a touch of salt. My husband had the beef bourginon and it was really tender and the sauce was good but same salt issue. The drinks are extremely affordable for a restaurant in SJ (almost half of what is normally charged these days). Food was good but not exceptional. The food arrived swiftly. Ambience was pretty and aesthetic. Overall the service was not great which brought down our experience. Staff was not very attentive, we had empty water glasses for a while and our male waiter had low energy and not engaging. The only person that acknowledged our special occasion was the hostess.

It was crowded and noisy in the main dining area by the bar when we arrived at 7:30pm on a Sunday evening, but it cleared out and was more relaxing by 8pm. The extra dining area and bar were empty. Parked at San Pedro garage, which is a block away.
Our food arrived quickly and was delicious! Portions just right - no leftovers! We ordered the pork loin katsu, beef bourguignon, and the special lobster ravioli. The beignets were light and delicious! Bread pudding was more like a croffle; it was ok. Menu items are pricey, but we were ok with that cuz we were celebrating a special day.
Service was attentive til the very end. Our waiter forgot our coffee, so we finished most of our dessert before it came, and it was very watered down (maybe in the haste to get it to us). But our waiter was very apologetic and made the coffee complimentary, so we appreciated that.

Server was great, but could have stopped by table more often to check in and also to take order more quickly. Took a while to flag her down to get my order and I had a fussy baby, so dining had to be fast. And the host bumped right into my husband while he was carrying our baby and seemed to almost bump into him intentionally (rudely) and didn’t care to apologize. Food was not good. My eggs Benedict was very bland, the most disappointing Benedict I have ever had and while I LOVE caviar, the caviar topping was horrible; it tasted really cheap and had a strong fish smell that was a dead giveaway that it was cheap. The toasted bread under the poached eggs was too soft & soggy. The chilaquiles came out cold and soggy as well, and very underwhelming. The beignets tasted “ok” but also looked a little too burnt and darkish brown and took forever to come out, which makes me feel that they probably forgot that it was in the fryer, hence, why it looked burnt. Ambience was nice but music was so loud I felt like I had to shout. Loud music in the evening might be appropriate for the evening crowd looking for more of a late night bar and drinks vibe. But for an early brunch, the music shouldn’t be so loud.

The menu doesn’t look to interesting, but it a new spot and had great reviews so decided to try it out. We absolutely loved our appetizers and mains. Very delicious, not too heavy, perfect amount. Dessert was dry and disappointing unfortunately. Drinks look a very long time to arrive.

First time here. Nice vibe, except for excessive fake hanging plants and club music. It would be much more sophisticated with a cooler playlist!
Service was great. We had oysters, a burger, and fried chicken. All were good, but not exceptional. Crème brûlée had a very thick topping which ended up being a bit sticky and chewy.
We would go back for a drink + app, but probably not dinner. Maybe lunch would be a better option?

We were pleasantly surprised by the Pressroom. The service was good overall. There are definitely servers who seem inexperienced but everyone was giving 100% effort so the mistakes weren't a big deal. If they keep working to as hard as they are, they should be successful. Some tips...improve communication between servers, make sure servers clear dirty silver ware and don't leave it on the bare table. Bartender in the back needs some experience with classic cocktails.
Everyone was friendly and working hard to take care of us. The front side of the venue is very loud. I preferred the back where it was a little quieter. I also enjoyed the decor and ambiance in the back more. The bar is beautiful.
The food was good! Not as good as Eos & Nyx but it has potential. I really enjoyed my salmon dish. The Appetizer Rib was good but not $18 good (yet). Everything needed a touch of salt. My husband had the beef bourginon and it was really tender and the sauce was good but same salt issue. The drinks are extremely affordable for a restaurant in SJ (almost half of what is normally charged these days). We will definitely go back if given a choice.
