Great Mother's Day brunch!!! Taylor gave us exceptional service. Only issue was no gluten free desserts or breads on the buffet. We'll definitely come back for dinner though!

We decided to Public House on Mother's Day since they were advertising a "Mother's Day Brunch Experience" that sounded like it would be nice. Unfortunately, it was a terrible experience. The assortment of food choices on the buffet was limited at best. I made a special trip to visit the restaurant 2 days before our reservation to get details about this "Mother's Day Experience". I was told that the brunch buffet would include a "huge assortment" of breakfast and lunch items. Nothing on the buffet was labeled, so you had to lift every lid and hope you could identify what was in the pan. The bacon was greasy and limp (not even close to crisp), the diced potatoes were dry, the fruit was not fresh, and the only non-breakfast items we found were refried beans(?), cupcakes, and something that resembled taquitos with green sauce. Everything that was supposed to be hot, was cold and vice versa. The guy running the "omelet station" didn't speak English, so telling him how you'd like your omelet prepared was challenging. He was also manning a carving station, when asked what the meat was, he wasn't sure. We weren't willing to try it because it was not under a heat lamp, and we didn't know if it was safe to eat. Bottomless mimosas are a full glass of champagne per person and 1 glass of orange juice for the entire table to share. How does this work? 3 of us had mimosas that we had to 1) figure out how to mix ourselves and 2) pray that a server would make it somewhat worthwhile by giving us refills. Here's the kicker! When asked about what charges were, because the cost of the buffet and bottomless mimosas were not posted anywhere to be found, we were informed that the buffet was $60 and mimosas were $25 PER PERSON. I asked the server if he was joking, and he immediately offered us a $10 discount, but agreed that it was not worth the money. It felt very "thrown together at the last minute" and incredibly disorganized.

Great food, good music ruined by slow service. Service was very slow- We sat at 12:20, waited 10 minutes before getting acknowledged or even table water. The waitress was polite but didn’t come by until 12:45 to take our orders. For a table of 4- with no special instructions, it was around 1:15 before we got our meals. Ambiance- Really enjoyed Ryan Valenzuela band and made long wait for service almost enjoyable. Where there were misters the temps were reasonable for outdoor seating- to be fair it was 100F today. But the row of misters where we sat were off/not working so only the shade and an occasional breeze kept us cool.

We had reservations and we were sat immediately. However, with regards to service, it took over a half an hour to acknowledge us. By the time we were acknowledged, we were offered a free shot to which we declined. Then he offered to buy us a drink. Our food then took some time to come out. Once it arrived, the food was fine. When we were done and received our bill, we noticed the drink that he had offered us was on the bill. He tried to retract his earlier statement to which we then argued. Ultimately, we got the drink taken off, but really no other offers to give us a complementary meal or anything to make the experience better.

It was a busy Sunday evening. The restaurant was pretty busy. Because it had been raining it was cold but there were portable heaters. All seating was in a covered patio. Judging by the name of the restaurant I thought we would be inside. Food options were good but nothing overwhelming except for the Strawberry shortcake biscuit desert! It was fabulous and we will return to this place again just for that.

My husband and I wanted to make a reservation because it was Easter Sunday and didn’t want to have to wait. This place had good reviews, I thought it was weird I had to prepay for the buffet 25$ a person and an extra 10$ DEPOSIT, implying we would get the 10$ per person back. At least this is what we thought. We got there and were sat right away, waitress was very nice. We start digging in! The food was good especially for 25$ a person. My husband finishes his plate and I still have half my plate left. Someone comes over to close us out, we were there a total of 25 minutes. We were like okay? He said we can still enjoy the buffet but we felt rushed out, to only pay for a coffee because we prepaid? I told the guy checking us out we prepaid online, had no clue what I was talking about. The lady that was either the manager or the lady running the buffet came over and didn’t know what I was talking about. So I showed her through open table and my statement, that I was charged 70$. She says “Okay then you guys are good to go!” Still felt rushed but whatever I guess. Not even 2 minutes later she comes back over and says the buffet was actually 55$ a person and we owe her money, right after she said we were good to go? We just paid and left because we were so uncomfortable. We probably won’t be coming back which in unfortunate because my husband really likes the burgers here.

We've loved Public House for 15 years, and we are glad it's still around. Our cocktails are food were good, but the band was country and we were not expecting that at PH of all places. The noise from the awful country band was a disappointment. I would also like to respectfully ask that they bring back ranch dressing for their delicious fries. What was brought over to us as ranch, was delicious, but it was more like something I'd spread on a sandwich, than ranch dressing.
