Founded in the fifties, people have been congregating at Puckett's for over half a century. We've updated a bit, added some recipes from our family and friends, and thrown in some great live music. But it's still Puckett's... nothing too fancy, but everything good. It's where the locals go for real food, real people and real fun.

Five of us had dinner at Puckett’s on Super Bowl Sunday. The restaurant as understandably empty with Super Bowl parties going on elsewhere. We started with the fried green tomatoes. I’m not a tomato lover but I enjoyed these tomatoes. A friend and I shared the BBQ platter with brisket and the Piggy Mac. Both were delicious. Another friend had the chicken salad where she left the plate completely clean The other two friends had the cheeseburger which came with a healthy serving of fries. Celebrating a birthday, we had the apple cobbler a la mode which was outstanding. A fabulous experience all-around.

It's a relaxing and enjoyable place to have dinner. The service is great and efficient. The food is typical of southern dishes that are excellent, and you receive large portions. The prices are very reasonable They also have a great beer selection and some good wine options as well. We always enjoy eating at Puckette's

We were seated at 11:00, which is the end of the breakfast hour. The waitress told us she would try and get us a cinnamon bun skillet put in under the wire. When it arrived it like warm. We ordered the rest of our meal which consisted of fried green tomatoes, bowls of gumbo, a pasta dish, sides, and a bar-b-que sandwich platter. The only foods that were hot were the fried green tomatoes, grits, and the pasta dish. Nothing else was hot. We were very disapointed.

Wayne was very friendly and attentive. He had a great sense is humor, too. The food was good home cooking. Nothing fancy - eggs, bacon, grits, but all well done. This was our second visit and we would definitely return.
