Owned and operated by a Mexican American family whose best memories all include tacos. Puesto is an award-winning Mexican Artisan Kitchen & Bar providing an innovative approach to authentic Mexican flavors. Puesto has garnered national acclaim for its Mexico City-style crispy melted cheese tacos, served on handmade non-GMO, organic, maíz azul stone-ground tortillas.

In addition to tacos, offerings include a selection of fresh catch ceviches, guacamoles, starters and ensaladas, courtesy of Chef/Partner Luisteen Gonzales. The bar program showcases the best of Mexico City through the use of fresh ingredients in our hand crafted cocktails and housemade Micheladas, tequilas, mezcals, Baja craft beers, and Valle de Guadalupe wines you can’t find elsewhere.

    Service is always good here, but this visit it was outstanding. Thanks to server Nick for being so quick and attentive. The tacos are amazing -- really intense flavors. The chips and house salsa are great, but for an extra $2 you get generous helpings of four more salsas and it's a damn good deal. Excellent cocktails. Reservations very much recommended.

    We went for taco Tuesday. Worth the prices then but wow are some of the tacos pricey on a regular day. Drinks were really really Good.

    We enjoyed the delicious classic guacamole and chips and an excellent variety of tacos. The margaritas were also top-notch.

    Love it here! Service was great, staff were all very kind and offered suggestions. I enjoyed a mushroom taco (my favorite here!) with a side of esquites (chef’s kiss). Oh! And a deliciously light and crisp cucumber margarita 😋 we sat on their patio in La Jolla, warmed by heaters, it was a lovely meal.

    The tacos were great as always, but they put us in a table that was squished right up next to the bar. It was very uncomfortable for the waiters trying to get by and made the experience worse.

    I had the nicest time. Food was excellent, Baja Fish Taco and Filet Mignon Taco. Chips and Salsa, with Flight of Four and an Amber to finish up with. Victor was my waiter and he did an excellent job. Looking forward to coming back next week!!!
