Purple Café and Wine Bar pairs a global wine selection with a menu that combines classic American styles with seasonal Northwest ingredients.

We feature an expansive menu ranging from artisan cheeses, starters, soups, salads, sandwiches and pizzas to pasta and seafood. We take a great deal of pride in utilizing the most fresh and local ingredients.

On the wine side of things our wine list features over 80 glass and 600 bottle selections. Over the years our wine program has been recognized with various accolades that include an "Award of Ultimate Distinction" from Wine Enthusiast Magazine and being named "Best Wine Bar" by Evening Magazine's Best of Western Washington Viewers Poll.

    Over the years, usually had a good experience but food isn’t what it used to be. It may have been the entrees my party ordered. Desserts were delicious however. Wine was great. Service was friendly, prompt and knowledgeable.

     The maître D/Manager on shift was completely rude. He told me that we scheduled our reservation at the OTHER Seattle Purple which was not true. He embarrassed me in front of my guests. He spoke to me in the most condescending manner. He failed to match our reservation to what they actually had in the system. When he realized that he was wrong, he never took the time to apologize to me or my guest.  I can’t even believe that he’s in charge of greeting people or guest services. His behavior was absolutely classless. The waitress and the food was excellent.

    Our waiter was doing everything he could but the restaurant seemed understaffed which made for slow service. Food was ok.

    Overall very good dining experience. For starters, we ordered spicy prawn frites and charred asparagus. We enjoyed the herb garlic butter sauce on the prawns the most and ordered a baguette to dip in it. For entrees we ordered the king salmon and linguine primavera. We enjoyed the linguine most. It was loaded with fresh green vegetables that added great texture and flavor.

    I realize you were busy, but waiting for over 50 mins to get our food was not appropriate. I expect a lunch hour with clients to be an hour, not almost 2. Enjoy the food, but cannot take that much time for lunch.
