   Excellent food as usual! Sad to see a change in some of the staff and management. Grith was a definite asset to the team. I hope the new management maintain the integrity of this lovely village pub.

   Excellent establishment. Not to be missed! Baked Camembert, halloumi fries, fish and chips were delicious. Must try the rest of the menu next time!

   Lunch was our halfway point in a ten mile walkout from a neighbouring village. We aware it was a fixed cutdown menu but had long intended to visit the pub having been to the other pub in the village several times and been impressed. The service, front of house, was very good, helpful and personable. However the food could only be described as average and there were long delays between courses. The biggest issue however was that it was freezing, no heating on leading to put our outside costs on. There was a fan heater at the bar end of the pub but not much use for diners. Overall disappointing and unlikely to return in a hurry. Not the best way to celebrate a birthday…

   Hi Andrew, Thank you for your review, im sorry that the internal heating wasnt warm enough and put a cold spell on your birthday celebrations. We have now brought in extra heaters and coal for our fireplaces. I hope you visit us again soon to see the changes we have made to make your visit more comfortable.    Not our first visit, service is fantastic food delicious. Restaurant has a nice relaxing ambience. Would highly recommend.

   One of the best roast dinners we've had in a long time! Food tasted home cooked, was plentiful and well presented and could be topped up with unlimited requests for extra vegetables and gravy at no additional cost. Service was continuous but not invasive or annoyingly over-attentive! It's a lovely old pub but with decent seating arrangements to be comfortable and not overly loud that we couldn't chat comfortably over dinner. Both agreed we'd go back again before we'd even left the car park! Well worth a visit!

    Our local pub, we miss Debbie and her crew who were here originally, but Chris and his team were very welcoming. Food as good as ever.
