In June of 2005 Humberto and Lorena opened the doors to Lorena's a BYOB in the heart of Maplewood Village.
As an alumnus of the C.I.A. and a graduate from New Jersey's top kitchens, Chef Campos will be offering a menu deeply rooted in French technique and inspired by the seasons of the Garden State.

The food and service makes this restaurant one of the finest in the area. The place is surely a restaurant for a special occasion. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and we felt pampered and welcome.

Always a good meal here but surprised when they ran out of bread - not sure how that happens at a top end restaurant like this.

Been there four times for special occasions and Lorena’s never disappoints. It’s my favorite restaurant in NJ, better than Restaurant Nicholas, Ryland Inn and many other top rated restaurants in NJ. It’s not big so plan ahead with your reservation.

We are still talking about the meal prepared by Chef Bouche. The scallops, peas, asparagus, and squash were exquisite. Additionally, our server, Adam, was exceptional. This restaurant should be on everyone’s bucket list.!

Very enjoyable meal. Excellent service and very accommodating with food allergies. Nice ambiance. Quiet enough for conversation. The restaurant could put foam under the tabletops to absorb even more noise.
