Best prime rib in Pittsburgh. Could use a bit more selection when it comes to sides, but I’m quibbling. Great dining experience.

Our experience, while very good, began a little odd. Keep in mind this is a VERY small dining room. We were seated directly next to the only other table dining at the time. It was strange and slightly uncomfortable. Food was very good and the truffle fries and creamed spinach were among the best we’ve had from any steakhouse. Prime rib was done to perfection and the drinks were fantastic. We definitely could’ve shared the 10oz cut with all of the sides. Rigatoni may have been a smidge too al dente. I don’t know if we’ll go back, but it was worth a visit.

Very disappointing. My husband and I eat out often and it’s not unusual for us to spend over $200 for a dinner out. We spent $267 for our experience at the Rib Room. We went because there aren’t many places that do Prime Rib any longer. That being said said, this place should not be doing it either. The best part of our meal was the actual intimacy of the dinghy room itself. 1. The waiter- was very absent from service. Long wait time for our drinks, did not check on us as meal progressed. Also I did not appreciate him taking the table next to us while his back side was literally in our face as he wedge himself in between our table and the one next to us. Delivered the check with after dinner drink, coffee or dessert menu. 2. The prime Rib - I ordered the largest cut as I love exceptional prime rib. This was not exceptional. It was a thick block of meat. I ordered med rare, it was extremely dry and red but dry, lacked any real flavor especially for prime beef. My husband ordered the lobster thermidor it lacked any detectable amount of actual lobster it had tons of leeks, mushrooms and a very potent amount of cayenne pepper in the cheese sauce. We sent it back or actually until the waiter sent a manager over to the table to take it from our table, the next one was no better. In hindsight I was glad I ordered the larger prime rib as I shared it with my husband. Would not recommend.

For a place called the rib room, the prime rib was the worst part of the meal. Everything else was fantastic but the prime rib may have been the worst I’ve ever had. Texas Roadhouse is better. Also we were brought out 2 glasses of wine that the waiter said was something special for our anniversary so I thought it was complimentary but was charged for them. Also the mashed potatoes were amazing but there was like 4 bites in the tiny bowl they came in. Not worth the $200 bill at all

Lovely little room, very good but not great food… and at over $400 for two people it needs to be great. We have eaten in some of the world’s great restaurants and this isn’t one of them. Way too expensive, not justified. Too limited, too expensive” by the glass” wine list and you better know what you want… and it better be prime rib. The only other “special” was a lobster thermidor for $69. I, frankly, think the concept is silly Oh, and our Yorkshire Pudding never came…

We had a 5pm reservation prior to a Friday night show, and what a treat! We split a few apps and a queen prime rib! We were the only ones there for the first hour which we LOVED! Perfect date night spot! It’s quiet and small, wouldn’t be a great place to go to catch up with old friends tbh

Best prime rib I've ever had. But the little things were good, too: Horseradish sauce was perfect. Great Baked Alaska. Highly recommend.

Something seems off with Meat & Potatoes ever since Covid… The food wasn’t necessarily bad, but service and food seemed worse than before Covid. Can’t even blame a packed restaurant either because it wasn’t. Steelers preseason opener was going on so the restaurant wasn’t even full.
