Review summary

AI-generated from verified diner reviews
Riccardo's offers an authentic Italian experience in Boston's North End with "excellent food," "friendly service," and a "warm atmosphere." Standout dishes include "homemade ricotta stuffed meatballs" and "tiramisu." While some mention service hiccups, overall, it's a beloved spot for celebrations and "a fun atmosphere" with live music.

Calamari was disgustingly chewy. Waitress was rude and was trying to push expensive wines on us

Food wasn’t near as tasty as previous visits. My grilled chicken fettuccine was unseasoned and was basically just cream without any flavorful cheese added. Chicken parm was meh and wasn’t very warm. Honestly, wont be back for a while considering the price for poor quality food.

Service was abysmal. They wouldn’t seat us without the entire party, which is totally fine! That’s not a problem. but once our entire party was seated, the server ignored us presumably because he was mad that the table was waiting? We offered to order in advance so to not hold up the table, but they refused. Waiter was incredibly rude and abrasive. He stepped on my foot when I got up to use the restroom, HARD, looked at me and walked away without saying excuse me or sorry. He refused to give us any service and another waiter had to take our order (after we asked him *twice*) and busboys were handling every other request. Just incredibly rude the way he was speaking to us when he wasn’t ignoring us (table of six). Food was average to good, bartender was great with the wine.

It was a great experience besides the seafood linguini, undercooked lobster mush and extremely rubbery calamari.

We had a delightful experience with the wonderful and friendly service. We started with the prosciutto and burrata appetizer, which was absolutely perfect for two to share—a true delight! For our main course, we indulged in the veal scallopini special, which exceeded our expectations, accompanied by a side of rich pasta Bolognese. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the fresh swordfish, which was a real treat. The atmosphere was lively, with families and couples enjoying their meals, and the live music added a fantastic touch to our evening. Overall, it was a memorable dining experience! We will undoubtedly return to enjoy again:)
