   I was expecting a lot from their Christmas menu but only got disappointed in the end. The canapes and "scallop" soup (which only contained half a scallop were nice, but the John Dory was dry at the top and raw at the bottom. The side of potatoes was chewy and dry (which confused me how the hell you can mess up potatoes from England) while the dessert was just ok. Not worth AU$580 meal with AU$100 service charge!

   Hi Let strart with the easy bits 🙂 I thought the salmon did not taste of Whisky. Potatoes were bland and not salted I do not like Goose and when I asked if there was and alternative the computer said no . They were serving Turkey in the grill why did you not look to share The bar was a mess we arrived at 1415. First drink arrived at 1440 order another that did not arrive before we had to leave for our table at 15.15 Your charged us £130.00 service charge and our bill was just drink how does that work. The staff were falling all over each other no knowing who had already asked what , so we had to keep repeating ourselves and twice ended up with doubles of our asks. The people sitting next to us was staying at the hotel and regaled us of their woes and decided to leave after lunch a day early as service in their room was awful I think you have to remember who you are , you are the Savoy the top of the tree when it should come to all thing great about theUK and service. As well as charging all your customers as premium price. In my eyes you overall let yourself down today which is such an awful shame as you can be great again you just need to concentrate on the basics the matter. Kim

   Christmas Day lunch with my daughter. The service was impeccable. The food as always was great. Wine list was sensible with a whole range of wines but a summary page which made it easy to navigate and experience new countries and grapes.

   Staff exceptional, ambience ditto. BUT, for set menu Xmas lunch, the goose was mighty disappointing. Taste: ok just. Consistency: shoe leather; tough to chew & hard to cut with knives provided. I fear Mr G Ramsay would use stronger language than I dare type to damn it. The alternative John Dory was really good. What a pity the goose was nothing like same quality/standard as fish. Clearly staff recognised the problem & offered exchange to fish pdq- no quibbles

   Professional, excellent service and delicious food overall as we had our first Christmas Day lunch in London with them. An absolute joyful experience I would definitely recommend to others.    We loved the old world glitz and glamor of the hotel and the restaurant. The staff was very attentive and food excellent. I highly recommend!

   Lovely place to dine! Food and wine were very good. Dessert was out of this world! If you want a wonderful unforgettable experience this is the place to go. LOVED IT!
