   Our party of seven enjoyed an exceptional experience at Riviera last night for a family birthday. From the ideal large square table with a view across the restaurant and the thoughtful, friendly service to the outstanding food and drink, it made for a very memorable occasion. We had a number of discerning and experienced diners in our group, and everybody was thoroughly impressed with their meals. The whitefish caviar, smoked duck breast & heart, and sticky toffee pudding were standouts. Bravo to the entire Riviera team - and many thanks.

   Highly recommend. Sitting at the bar top area we had a fantastic experience. Superb service from the serving staff, wonderful server / bar tender made us some delicious cocktails and took care of our meals. Very pleasant and helpful. We also were fortunate the sommelier spent some time with us to discuss some of the wines we tried. He was very busy but made our experience a memorable one by taking time to discuss and educate us. Very interesting. And we got introduced to some wines we probably wouldn’t have tried on our own. We are very grateful for a memorable and wonderful dining experience. Riviera is a must if you are staying in Ottawa.

   El restaurante es muy bonito y bastante elegante. Fuimos para celebrar el aniversario y nos dieron una copa de cortesía. Detalle hermoso. El menú indicaba que preguntáramos en caso de alergias sin ser tímidos pero no tenían opción Gluten Free en pastas. Sería el único detalle que me parece pueden mejorar si ponen una leyenda como esa en el menú. Muy amplia oferta de tragos y bebidas. Nosotros nos decantamos por un vino que vendían por copa de la Toscana y no defraudó para nada. Pedimos de entrada el pulpo que estaba delicioso El Cat Fish y Strip Loin Steak ambos espectaculares. De postre tenían una opción sin Gluten diferente. El Pavlova fue inesperadamente (generalmente sin gluten solo encontramos en Canadá el Creme Brûlée) lo cual fue una agradable sorpresa y en sí el postre exquisito. Vale mucho la pena el lugar. Recomendado.

   Took my fiance here for her birthday meal. The service was amazing and the vibes were good. Food was quite delicious with good portion sizes. Would recommend for special occasions.

   Wonderful food and service! The general attitude was great. Everyone seemed happy to be working there. They were especially careful and accommodating for my dairy intolerance. We will definitely be going back!!!

   Fantastic service and food was incredible, with one exception, with good selection of drinks. Four stars and not five as my steak was really disappointing, over salted and very basic. Expected something more in line with their other dishes.

   The booking process was very easy, hospitality was first rate from the time we got there till we left, the service was very friendly and very efficient. The food was outstanding (the iceberg lettuce and shrimp, the oysters, and the burger). Thank you very much for an enjoyable evening.

    Excellent venue - appearance, light, background music. Bar seat experience was excellent. Service was excellent. Food was excellent. Cocktails were amazing. Not inexpensive, but not outrageous.
