Rōkka es el primer bar Izakaya de Costa Rica, en japonés significa Tienda de Sake, básicamente es la versión japonesa de un Bar o Pub, en el se trata de comer y beber feliz al estilo japonés. El Chef Sebastián La Rocca en Rōkka nos trae su Visión de Sushi con las técnicas, tradición y respeto por la cocina Japonesa que aprendió de su mentor Saito, con un giro y su toque tan particular que ya estamos acostumbrados a ver en otros de sus restaurantes. Nuestros clientes van a encontrar una armoniosa y única fusión de ingredientes tanto en el sushi, como en nuestra coctelería artesanal enfocada en licores Japoneses y sakes principalmente.
Ofrecemos dos tipos de servicio a la carta y Omasake que significa “confiar en el chef” el cual es un menú degustación de sashimi, nigiri y otros platos, para ello trabajamos con los mejores proveedores de pescado, importamos ingredientes de Japón y los mejores ingredientes locales.

It was the celebration of my mother’s birthday, so we did some research to find a new place that would surprise us, not just on food but in the whole experience. We found Rokka, this small place inside of a secret door that would fulfill what we were expecting of a celebration meal. Great sushi, drinks and service. Little overpriced though. But if you choose well the rolls and drinks, you will get the best out of it

Nuestra primera vez en Rokka y desde que llegamos fue toda una experiencia empezando por la puerta secreta, pasar por dentro de una refri wow, la atención de Adrián es un plus nos guió por los diferentes sales, y el sushi superó nuestras espectativas, pescado súper fresco, la técnica y presentación un 10, la última vez que comí sushi de este nivel fue en NY. Volveremos para hacer el menú omakase con el chef

Great concept, but rather “over-done/hyped”.. Dinner experience was ok, but strict with times even when it was completely empty. Even if they had the best food, being pressured with time never adds to the dinner experience.

Al llegar el mesero nos dijo que no nos podía hacer un coctel pq solo nos podría ofrecer lo que tenían en ese bar. Habíamos ido a comer al restaurante Botaniko (el de sushi queda dentro de Botaniko) y nos había preparado el mismo coctel tres días antes. Los sofás donde uno se sentaban estaban muy bajos. La comida más o menos. Era como sushi que uno pedí para entrega en EEUU. La ensalada de waikame era, inexplicablemente, dulce.

Talk about a hidden gem! Not familiar with the city as we were on vacation, the address didn’t show up in the Uber app so we drove up and down for ages trying to find it. Well worth the effort thought, great sushi, great drinks and great service in a very intimate setting. Loved it!
