   Food was good, not amazing. Service was friendly but very slow towards the end. Had to wait a good while to get bill, then to pay for bill. Weren’t offered tea/coffee or asked if we wanted anything else after dessert.

   Beautiful steak, however, not cooked to my order, but I wasn't prepared to wait any longer for another to be cooked. Absolutely nothing else on the plate besides the steak and a small potato and a spring of garnish. Anything else is extra, and for €38 one would expect something. However, it was very tasty(perhaps hunger makes good sauce) Staff show little interest, apart from the manager. I would not be rushing back again

   Absolutely gorgeous food. Staff were friendly and helpful. Service was maybe slightly slow at times but the place was really busy and they were clearly working hard. Would definitely return if we're in Dublin again.

   We booked early for Christmas Lunch in Roly's Bistro for a "big birthday" and completed the email confirmation a couple of days before the reservation. We attended on time but were shown into the Terrace Restaurant rather than the Bistro and given the Terrace lunch menu rather than the full Bistro menu. We queried the more limited menu but were told "That is the lunch menu" and asked to order. The food was good but we had not planned on "scampi & chips" for our Christmas lunch, we found lumps of garlic in the meal and overall the service was poor as we were left unattended several times. We rang to complain that evening but only got an answer from a barman and then a manager who saw we had booked the Bistro but could do nothing about it but promised to get a response the next day. There was no response the next day and when we called back were told that there was no management to respond but guaranteed a callback the next day. We finally got a callback the following day and an offer of a voucher. However, we declined and instead asked for a donation to charity. As the Bistro was not busy we assume they did not verify the booking either on arrival or when we queried the menu. Having said that the restaurant service was poor and the after sales customer service was terrible. Given that I had flown in from France and my friend had arranged a carer for an elderly parent for this celebration we were both bitterly disappointed.

   Food and service were not what one would have expected. Not what previous experiences have been like. Overall very disappointing.

    What a delicious meal! We had a beautiful three course meal, the starters & mains were divine! The staff were fantastic and couldn’t have been more helpful!
