We dine at the SP Rooster’s frequently. The food at the Ballantyne restaurant was not presented nor as tasty as the SP restaurant. The service was very good and very attentive, my disappointment is with the kitchen.

Love this restaurant but a few things threw us off that night. First, the "Ballantyne Bowl" area has started charging for parking. This is in the suburbs with ample parking so this is more than annoying and completely unnecessary. Not the restaurant's fault. All of the restaurants in this area have other locations in Charlotte with free parking so I'd rather just drive a few more minutes and go there. Our server was very sweet but inattentive. Our cocktails arrived well into dinner. The cappuccinos arrived after dessert. Water was never replenished. We waited almost 15 minutes to find her to get our bill. Restaurant was not overly busy so there really was no excuse as to why the lag time with service. The cocktails (hibiscus tea and gin) were fabulous. The food was good as expected. But the slow service and parking situation really tainted the experience and kept me from giving it a higher score.

Great experience! Trout was prepared perfectly. It was great also that it was deboned. Tomato basil soup was delicious! Great for dipping the bread in. Shrimp entree was also delicious. However was overcooked which makes the shrimp tough. Kiley did a great job and was spit on with drink recommendation. Beautiful place!

We enjoyed the food overall — flavors were good and the presentation was nice. However, one of our dishes unfortunately arrived cold, which was disappointing. The waiting time was also much longer than expected, which affected our experience. Additionally, the location was very noisy, making it hard to have a conversation. With some improvements in service and ambiance, it could be a much better dining experience.
