   Root & Bone is a “diamond in the rough” located in Horse Shoe, NC. I have eaten at the restaurant a number of times. None of the people in our party have had a bad meal. We had a bottle of Jordan 2019 cab. Delish. For appetizers we had the Smoky Bacon Board and Drunken Deviled Eggs. Soooo good. Entrees were Brick Chicken, Trout and Sort Rib Meatloaf. The Meat Loaf is a smaller sized meal and last night it was just a touch dry. Other times it had been spot on. If your in the area, you should make this one of you dinner stops.

   Nice atmosphere, food was good, a bit pricey. Our server (Bailey) was the best. We were celebrating our Anniversary and was given a quiet area usually used as 'date night' seating.

   We visit this area often and Root & Bone is a favorite. The food quality and service are on par with our experiences in larger urban areas known for outstanding restaurants. If you're in the area, don't miss this place!

   Server was EXCELLENT- professional, friendly, served with a smile, attentive, knowledgeable of the menu and inquired for the uncertainty about a menu item. This was the 2nd time we've had brunch here. However, our brunch experience has not been a wow factor. Although food presentation was great, my entree (Shrimp and grits) was a filling dish but surprisingly bland in taste. Not a dish I'd order again. We will stick to dinner at this location instead of brunch. The trout and risotto is consistently delicious on the dinner menu. My favorite!

   Wonderful Easter brunch. Joshua suggested the “blt” and hot honey sauce with the fried chicken and it was fantastic. Great service.
