   We had dinner reservations for Friday night at 7pm. Arrived a few minutes early and were seated promptly. The tables are set with vintage china and flatware, and the water is served from large glass bottles left on the table during service (a nice touch). I had an Old Fashion from the bar which was excellent, and my partner enjoyed a Chardonay from Australia. We ordered the fried green tomatoes to share. They came with house made pimento cheese and tomato jam, as well as a small portion of pork belly. It was a good choice for sharing but I thought the pork belly was over-cooked. For dinner, my partner had the seared trout, and I had short-rib meatloaf. We agreed that both plates were top notch, and the sides were fresh and cooked perfectly. For dessert we shared a serving of the banana creme brulé, ya can't go wrong there. Our server did a great job, and our dinner was served in a reasonable time from seating.    What a wonderful find in Hendersonville. We had visited the South Miami location many times and were thrilled to see a location in Hendersonville. Amazing, a must visit!!

   The ambience and the welcome at the door were warm and inviting. I love the bar. I love the restaurant to the right and we were seated at tables that were within the bar. Every portion of your meal was exquisite. The pallet is very unique. I highly recommend we will definitely be coming back again. The wine is absolutely divine and the choice of wines especially those from New Zealand are one of my favorites,— brilliant Sauvignon Blanc, and many choices. Desserts were outstanding. We had the banana crème brûlée and the apple pie. The crust was outstanding. The service was excellent and this place is gonna get amazing notoriety it’s very different from the past owners of the building. it’s beautiful we enjoyed every stage or course of the meal.

   We really enjoy going to Root and Bone. They have a very talented chef and an interesting menu with great food. We have been there for Saturday dinner and Sunday brunch. Both were very good. The restaurant is very nicely decorated, and the sound level is decent. All the staff are super friendly and the service if at a good pace. Horseshoe may be a little off the beaten path, but the drive is worth the experience.

   One of our favorite spots! Ribs, fried chicken, steak oh my!!!! Can’t wait to spend the summer in North Carolina and spend more dinners at root and bone
