So I came here once before Covid and I remember having such a good experience the first time, but I just recently went November 2024 and had one of the best Caesar salads in my life, best food, best everything. The only thing I thought it was weird that they knew I was making my reservation for my birthday And they even asked me who’s birthday it is and I’m pretty sure they forgot.

There are a lot of Italian restaurants in Little Italy (no kidding!). Rovino's stays at the top in our view. We had the prosciutto and burrata salad with arugula to share as an appetizer. It was outstanding. I had lasagna and my wife had tortellini with chicken in a cream sauce. Both were terrific. I would like a bit more variety in the menu but the pasta selections were outstanding. We sat outside and it was delightful. An excellent choice for Italian food in this area. Much better than many of the standard places.

I will literally dream about the burrata. The fresh pesto with the toasted pistachios on arugula that tasted so farm fresh? The pancetta was a perfect salty complement. The calamari and shrimp were delicious and the crusted, chili seasoned squash was an unexpected twist. The osso buco and risotto was twist your fork tender. The tortellini was somehow bright with pesto and tender chicken while being in a cream sauce. Who knew? And the roasted chicken, ribeye and mushrooms, spicy sausage were amazing and the veggies fresh. RoVino came highly recommended by our concierge and I’m already considering lunch there or something before I leave!

We ate at the curb side, and we're able to talk privately. The food was wonderful and plentiful. The osso beca fell off the bone and was wonderfully spiced. The rotisserie chicken and vegetables were a treat. It's no wonder there wasn't an empty table at 7 PM

Overall experience with food and service was excellent . Amazing appetizers and mains as well S desert. Service was exceptional from all staff . Love the place as well, I would definitely recommend!

Had a GREAT experience at Rovino. We have been going here for years as we knew the previous owners. We were SO happy to find that the restaurant was as great as ever!! We were there during happy hour and the food and drink options were an AMAZING value . The portions on the food were large and were delicious! We loved chatting with the sweet couple Frank and Rose that bought the restaurant. They showed great hospitality and backed it up with incredible food and drinks! Look forward to going back!

Rovino was absolutely fantastic. Cesar's service was top-notch, and the food was an authentic taste of Grandma's Italian home cooking. There's no doubt we'll be returning to Rovino on our next trip to San Diego.
