   The food was delicious served hot however I asked that the steak be diced for my salad. It’s hard to cut the steak with a butter knife once the salad arrives at the table. The service was rushed it was a get in quick and leave quickly atmosphere. Having just returned from Europe where they enjoy leisurely meals and encourage relaxing and enjoying the meal it wasn’t a feeling of relaxation. Rather it was a in and out kind of meal. It was New Years Eve we were there very early (6:15) it just wasn’t a relaxing meal, the server tried her best . The server had no time to talk or make suggestions it was here’s the specials , are you ready to order kind of service. We’ll return in a not so busy evening. We enjoy the hanger steak meal but my husband said he’d like the option of a larger portion of steak.

   Beautiful setting and ambience. We keep coming back for it. The food choices for a vegetarian are few. The Mayan vegan plate was disappointing. But the service is good, the staff friendly and welcoming. Just wish we could say more good things about the food.

   Rumfish y Vino is a great find in Ventura. There are lots of restaurants to choose from in the area, so you could do a lot worse. We had small plates of the Peruvian ceviche, octopus, scallop special and split a fig and goat cheese salad. Everything was delicious and the presentation was very good. The restaurant was extremely crowded (especially for the day before New Year's Eve), but service was good. There is a very good wine list with (...surprise) an emphasis on Central Coast wines. There are also some producers in Sonoma and Mendocino county and a few international wines. They have a good selection of wines by the glass, also. Although nothing like their bottles. Rumfish y Vino is highly recommended! Eat there soon.

   We were early and the host seated us right away. Relaxing fun atmosphere, heated outdoor patio, excellent service.

   The halibut special was excellent! The salmon & chicken was also very good! The beet salad was delicious! The waitress subbed baby gem lettuce for the arugula for me! Ask to sit on the benches on the main patio near a heater! It was perfect! Definitely a bit quieter so we cool all talk! It is such a chic restaurant with an amazing patio! We had excellent service too! We will revisit soon! Ty for a wonderful dining experience Rumfish!

   We made reservation for happy hour drinks & an appetizer; all were great, as was the service. We also have dinner here since we really like the food, atmosphere & service.

   So great to have vegan and vegetarian options that are tasty and beautifully presented. Dining in the lush courtyard with toasty heaters all around makes Rumfish y Vino a special experience all year!

   Love this place! Great food, excellent service. The lasagna with poblano and ancho chile tomato sauce is deliciously inspired, and the creole seabass is a spectacular dish. My favorite restaurant in Ventura.

    Cute place. Lunch menu is limited, but food was good. Service was a bit slow, but once we ordered, food came out almost too quickly.
